I-35 Northeast Expansion (I-35 NEX) Central Construction Project -DETOURS AND CLOSURES for Next Week.

Progress continues on the southbound frontage road of I-35 between Toepperwein Road and I-35 Access Road. More than 150 cubic yards of concrete was poured to complete the first bent cap. The bent cap is the base that is placed on top of the column to provide support for the future elevated mainlanes. There are a total of three bent caps that have been placed in this area.

Northbound
• Monday, April 10, until Saturday, April 15, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Right lane closure on northbound I-35 mainlanes, entrance ramp closure and left lane closure on northbound frontage road of I-35 from FM 1518 to Schertz Parkway for survey work. Traffic should use next entrance ramp.
Southbound
• Monday, April 10, until Saturday, April 15, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Right lane closure on southbound I-35 mainlanes, exit ramp closure, and left lane closure on southbound frontage road of I-35 from Schertz Parkway to Corporate Drive for survey work. Traffic should use next exit.

• Monday, April 10, until Saturday, April 15, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Multiple lane closures (3) on northbound I-35 mainlanes from Forum Parkway to Evans Road for striping, barrier, and temporary pavement work.
• Monday, April 10, until Saturday, April 15, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Alternating lane closures on northbound frontage road and exit ramp closure of I-35 from Forum Parkway to Evans Road for striping, barrier, and temporary pavement work. Traffic should use next exit.
