That’s a wrap on the 7th Annual Disabled Outdoorsmen USA North Carolina Old Drum Tournament!

What a week on the water. This year brought incredible fishing, unforgettable memories, and most importantly, another opportunity to give our participants an experience in the outdoors they’ll never forget.

For the second year in a row, EVERY participant went home with an NC Red Drum Citation! An incredible accomplishment made possible by an incredible group of people.

A huge congratulations to our 2026 Top 3:

We cannot thank the NC fishing captains enough for donating their time, boats, knowledge, and countless hours to put our participants on fish. Your hard work and commitment to this event are what make a week like this possible.

And to our donors and supporters, thank you. Your generosity allows us to continue removing barriers and creating opportunities for individuals to experience the healing power of the outdoors. Every trip, every fish, every smile, and every memory created this week was made possible because of your support.

Seven years in, and this event continues to remind us exactly why we do what we do. Thank you to every participant, captain, volunteer, donor, and supporter who made this year one to remember.

THE DOUSA ANNUAL DOVE HUNT IS BACK!

Disabled Outdoorsmen USA is proud to partner with SCI, the Texas Paralyzed Veterans Association, and Agape Ranch for our annual dove hunt in Uvalde, Texas!

Join us for an incredible day of dove hunting, fellowship, and camaraderie with fellow hunters and their families.

Arrival: 11:00 AM
Lunch: 3:00 PM
Hunt: Afternoon through dusk
Participants are welcome to stay afterward to clean their birds.

All participants must have a valid dove hunting license.

Fishing: Bass fishing will be available that morning. Please RSVP with organizers if you plan to arrive early to fish.

What a weekend at Fiesta Paloma!

We had an absolute blast with our friends Larry and Tyson and were honored to be part of such an incredible event. DOUSA had the opportunity to host the Ringer 5 Stand Tournament, bringing everyone together for some friendly competition while raising money to support our mission of making the outdoors more accessible for all.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out, shot with us, supported the tournament, and helped make the weekend so special!

We can’t thank James Westfall and the entire Fiesta Paloma team enough for including Disabled Outdoorsmen USA in such an amazing event for the community. We’re incredibly grateful for the friendships, the support, and every opportunity to continue changing lives through the outdoors.

We’re excited to announce the Third Annual Disabled Outdoorsmen USA Youth Shed Hunt, sponsored by Double Down Deer Feed!

Join us on October 24th in Boerne, Texas for a free, family-friendly day in the outdoors created for disabled youth of ALL ages. Participants will enjoy shed hunting, hands-on activities, educational vendors, games, prizes, lunch, and a DOUSA Swag Bag for every child!

Events like this are about more than finding sheds. They’re about bringing families together, building confidence, making new friends, and giving every child the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

What an unforgettable trip to Legends Ranch in Michigan with Carson, Gunner, and Crosslyn!

Carson and Gunner both harvested their deer on the very first morning, while Crosslyn made it happen with just 10 minutes left in the hunt! Each hunt was special, but this trip was about so much more than the harvest. It was about camaraderie, education, new experiences, and making memories together in the outdoors.

A huge thank you to Robert Sergi and the entire Legends Ranch team for their incredible hospitality, amazing accommodations, and the opportunity to experience some truly world class whitetail hunting.

We’re incredibly grateful for the way Legends Ranch welcomed our participants and helped make this a trip they’ll never forget.

We had a great morning hosting our Youth Hunter Education Course alongside the Texas Game Wardens and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department!

It’s always a blessing to pour into the next generation and teach them about hunter safety, conservation, and the great outdoors.

A huge thank you to the Texas Game Wardens for supporting our mission and sharing their knowledge with these young outdoorsmen and women, and to the Boerne Police Department for allowing us to host the class at their facilities.

Yesterday was a day we won’t soon forget.

We had the incredible opportunity to spend the day with Haydon and his mom, Sam, at Wildlife Partners’ Pettus Ranch. From exploring the ranch and seeing exotic wildlife up close, to taking Haydon fishing and watching him shoot a fi***rm for the very first time, the day was filled with experiences and memories we know will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to Kelsey and the entire Wildlife Partners team for opening their gates and making this special day possible. Their generosity gave Haydon and Sam the chance to enjoy the outdoors together, try new things, and simply make some unforgettable memories.

Days like this are exactly why we do what we do.

Disabled Outdoorsmen USA is excited to team up with Texas Parks & Wildlife and Texas Game Wardens for a Youth Hunter Education Certification Course on September 12 from 9 AM–5 PM at the Kendall County Police Department.

This course is designed to accommodate the individual learning needs of youth with disabilities. Class fees are covered by Disabled Outdoorsmen, and lunch, drinks, and snacks will be provided.
