Complete Streets aren’t only about smart infrastructure design: They’re to ensure that cyclists, pedestrians and community members of all backgrounds and skill levels can enjoy a higher quality of life by giving them safe places to ride, commute and play. The City is seeking applicants for its Multimodal Transportation Commission. The deadline to apply is September 12, 2025. Transit riders, cyclists, traffic engineers, disadvantaged transit riders, and those with experience with affordable housing, children, the development community, the environment, health and quality of life, and non-motorist and urban planning are encouraged to apply.

Today? Dangerous roads force kids indoors & into cars. That’s not progress.

Bigger cars, distracted drivers and worried parents mean fewer kids are roaming freely.
