🖤 Meet Frank – Your New Favorite Shadow if you like personal space he’s not your guy🖤

If you’ve ever wished for a best friend who thinks the sun rises and sets with you, then it’s time to meet Frank.

This handsome, all-black, 15-pound dachshund has one life mission: to love his person with his whole heart. Wherever you go, Frank is right behind you, looking at you like you personally hung the moon and the stars just for him. Whether you’re folding laundry, cooking dinner, or relaxing on the couch, he’s happiest simply being by your side.

Frank has the sweetest, most easygoing personality. He gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes—from tiny pups to giant breeds—and takes life one tail wag at a time. He’s a professional cuddler who loves curling up beside you, claiming your lap as his favorite spot, and at bedtime, don’t be surprised if he burrows under the covers to sleep right next to you or on top of you, think of him like a body guard.

We’re still working on potty training, and Frank is making great progress every day. With a little consistency and patience, he’ll continue to thrive in his forever home.

Frank is available for pre-adoption while he completes his medical care, giving his future family the opportunity to fall in love with him before he’s officially ready to go home.

If you’re looking for a loyal little companion who will fill your days with unconditional love, endless snuggles, and a constant reminder that you’re the center of someone’s world, Frank is waiting to meet you. 🖤🐾

Don’t worry he’s losing half of his manhood on the 15th

👑 Adoption Update: Punkin, Our Spicy Queen 👑

When Punkin first came into our rescue, she made one thing crystal clear: she absolutely did not want to be here. She had opinions, and she wasn’t afraid to share them.

After a few days of decompressing and settling in, she slowly started to let her guard down—especially with Avory. Now, Avory is the person who shares all her food with the dogs, and honestly, sometimes I sit here wondering why all our dogs are a little chunky. Then I remember that Avory simply cannot say no to them. 😂

Punkin has always been a little spicy, a little opinionated, and more than a little stubborn. If she didn’t want to do something, it wasn’t happening—unless food, treats, or a pup cup were involved. She was selective about her people, selective about her dog friends, and marched to the beat of her own drum.

Truthfully, Punkin was one of those dogs I thought might stay with our rescue forever. Between her quirky behaviors, stubborn streak, and very specific preferences, finding the right home felt like it might be a challenge.

Then we received an application from an amazing family in Washington.

They understood her needs. They understood her timeline. They understood that trust isn’t something Punkin gives away freely, and they were willing to give her all the time she needed to decompress, adjust, and fall in love with them the same way she fell in love with Avory.

Those are the adopters we call unicorns.

Because let’s be honest—when you really think about it, why would someone choose to adopt a Chow Chow-Heeler mix whose list of dislikes is longer than her list of likes and rivals the former Queen of England’s list of royal protocols? Yet they did. They saw everything that makes Punkin special and loved her for exactly who she is.

As excited as we are for her, Avory is definitely going to miss her. For months, Avory has loved reminding me that, for the first time in a very long time, a dog chose her over me. And honestly, she wasn’t wrong.

So today we celebrate Punkin’s incredible journey—from being dumped beside a dumpster in a Dollar General parking lot to heading off to the high life in Seattle, Washington.

No more wondering where her next meal will come from.
No more surviving.
No more being overlooked.

Just a family who adores her, a home of her own, and a future where she gets to be exactly what she’s always believed she was:

A queen. 👑

Congratulations, Punkin. We are so proud of you, and we know your new family is going to love every spicy, stubborn, quirky, wonderful thing about you.

Seattle, get ready. Your queen is on her way!!!

As Debbie Davis said everything that is going on is fluid and subject to change at any moment what was the allowed yesterday is no longer allowed today and we have to adjust to those changes. I am confident that the guidelines they passed yesterday will no longer be accepted today. It definitely sucks especially for the dogs in the RVG that are waiting for their exit ticket to San Antonio.

A Note About the Dogs in Our Care

At Bluu’s Cluu’s Texas Street Rescue, every dog that comes through our doors has already overcome so much. Many have survived life on the streets, neglect, abandonment, injury, illness, or simply being forgotten. Our commitment is to give them the best possible chance at a healthy, happy future.

As new USDA and FDA guidelines regarding animal transport and screwworm prevention continue to evolve, we want our adopters, fosters, and rescue partners to know that we are doing everything within our power to keep the dogs in our care safe and eligible for transport to their forever homes.

Every animal entering our rescue is carefully screened for parasites and immediately started on appropriate preventative medications. We work closely with our veterinary partners to ensure all required testing, treatments, Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (CVIs), and affidavits are completed in accordance with the most current regulations.

The challenge is that these requirements are changing rapidly. Rules issued today may be modified before a dog’s scheduled transport date, requiring additional documentation, treatments, or delays. While these changes can sometimes be frustrating, they are being implemented to protect animal health, and we are committed to following them every step of the way.

We know many families are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their new companion, and we ask for patience and understanding as we navigate these ever-changing requirements. Please remember that any delay is never about paperwork—it’s about ensuring the safety and well-being of the dogs we all care about.

Because each state may have different importation requirements and preventative medication protocols, we encourage adopters and receiving rescues to stay informed about their local regulations and consult their veterinarians as needed. Our team and veterinary partners will continue working diligently to ensure every dog leaves our care healthy, protected, and ready for the next chapter of their journey.

Thank you for standing with us, supporting rescue, and helping us give these deserving dogs the second chance they have fought so hard to earn. Every form, every test, every preventative medication, and every health certificate represents one more step toward getting a deserving rescue dog safely home. Together, we can ensure these dogs not only find loving families but arrive there healthy, protected, and ready to begin the life they deserve.

💙 For a rescue dog, home is worth the wait.
