Music Therapy Retreats Our nonprofit helps people with trauma find healing through music therapy. Music Therapy Retreats helps people with trauma find healing through music therapy.

Our mission is Mental Wellness Through The Power of Music — to help heal those who have experienced trauma. We accomplish this through our life-changing music therapy retreats by:

• incorporating evidence-based music therapy techniques,
• engaging talented songwriters in this process,
• providing ongoing education and training to music therapists, and
• expanding research in music therapy.

You don't have to hold onto everything.
Let some things ebb and flow. 🌊

During PTSD Awareness Month, we’re reminded that healing often begins with connection.

At Music Therapy Retreats, veterans and others who have experienced trauma are given space to heal through evidence-based music therapy, songwriting, mindfulness, and community support. Retreats are offered at no cost to participants, helping people rediscover hope, self-expression, and connection through music.

If our mission speaks to you, one small way to support this work is through a donation. Every contribution helps make these life-changing retreats and resources possible for people navigating trauma and PTSD.

This PTSD Awareness Month, we’re highlighting resources that educate, support, and remind people they are not alone in their healing journey.

One resource we recommend is PTSD Bytes, a podcast from the Veterans Health Administration featuring short, accessible conversations about PTSD, mental health, trauma recovery, and tools for support.

Listen here:

Welcome to the VA podcast series, PTSD Bytes! In each episode, host and clinical psychologist Colleen Becket-Davenport from the VA National Center for PTSD talk

June is PTSD Awareness Month - a time to recognize the millions of people living with post-traumatic stress disorder and to reaffirm that healing is possible, support matters, and no one should have to navigate trauma alone.

PTSD affects people from all walks of life: veterans, survivors of violence, first responders, healthcare workers, children, caregivers, and anyone who has experienced trauma. While every healing journey looks different, compassion and community make a difference.

This month, we encourage our community to:

✨ Learn more about PTSD and trauma-informed care
✨ Listen without judgment
✨ Check in on loved ones
✨ Support access to mental health services and creative arts therapies
✨ Remember that healing is not linear

If you or someone you know is struggling, you are not alone. Help is available, and we can heal together.
