Hope Hits Harder Cancer Foundation

Hope Hits Harder is a grass-roots nonprofit founded in 1998 stemming from a personal cancer diagnosis.

The organization works with all three pediatric oncology hospitals in San Antonio to provide assistance to diagnosed children and their families.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year - Discovery Camps + Hope Hits Harder Cancer Foundation’s annual Holiday Celebration!

Over 900 people joined us last night at the San Antonio Zoo for a magical evening full of laughter and joy. Kids with cancer and their families got to experience the brand new Congo Falls gorilla exhibit, get their faces painted, see the zoo Christmas lights, take photos with Santa, and pick out a toy to bring home with them.

We are forever grateful to Discovery Camps for bringing us into the family and letting us be a part of such a special evening ❄️

🎶 It’s tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiime….! 🎶

For our annual Christmas Toy Drive! Join us at Cover 3 San Antonio on Monday, December 8th to spread some holiday cheer. Bring an unwrapped toy, gift card, or pajama set, and your first drink is on us!

This year, we’re also collecting pajama sets (new with tags) for our Jana Banana Pajama Program - children admitted into the hospital will be able to pick out a fresh set of pj’s from the pajama closet to help them feel a little more cozy and at home during their hospital stay 🎄

🍌 Jana Banana Day 2025 🍌

We had a BLAST at today for our 5th annual Jana Banana Day! Earlier today, over 800 cancer patients and family members got to enjoy a fun-filled day at the park. A huge thank you to for sponsoring the cool Jana Banana Day merch that each attendee got to bring home with them, and for all of your awesome volunteers that helped make the day run so smoothly!

A round of applause for and their employees today! They gathered baskets filled to the brim with toiletries for our HOPE Bags. Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation, these supplies will help many families with children diagnosed with cancer in San Antonio.

In 2023, the new wing of Ronald McDonald House at started as an idea by our founder, , but for those of you who know him, you know he’s got a lot of those! However, after almost two years of collaboration with , , and countless others, we are humbled and ecstatic to see this project come to fruition.

Yesterday was the official ribbon cutting at the Ronald McDonald House expansion! This new wing will serve an additional 125 families per year, saving them hundreds of thousands of dollars in living expenses. We are so lucky to work alongside such incredible organizations who are making a difference in our community, we are truly better together!
