Woo Hoo! CHESTER & QUILL found a wonderful home today! One of our past adopters met them last weekend and fell in love with them. TThese handsome piggies came to us very skinny but have gained weight and we're excited they now have a home.

🌟 Guinea Pig of the Day: Kris (aka Krispy Kreme) 🌟

Kris has had quite a journey. Born on July 31, 2023, to Danish after she and dad Bagel were surrendered to the rescue, Kris arrived alongside sisters Cannoli and Tw***ie.

After finally being adopted with his dad in 2024, Kris returned when Bagel sadly passed away. He was later adopted with a new friend, Tiny, but returned again due to adopter allergies. After a stint in the Briscoe Middle School program, Kris is once again back at the rescue.

Despite all the changes he’s faced, Kris remains a sweet, resilient boy. 💙 This little piggy deserves what he’s never truly had—a committed forever family who will give him plenty of love, attention, and a permanent place to call home.

Could you be the person who finally gives Kris his forever home? 🐹💕

🐹💚 A guinea pig that isn’t eating is an emergency.

Guinea pigs have delicate digestive systems and can become seriously ill in a matter of hours without food or water. Knowing the warning signs and acting quickly can save a life.

Busy day yesterday at both Petsmart locations! Woo Hoo for LAINEY & LUNA for getting adopted! Kudos to Sherri and Tammy for all their hard work to do the weekly setups at Stoneoak Petsmart. Three single piggies got into foster homes and thanks to Sierra, one of our AMAZING fosters, Zoey & Yuri will hopefully be matched soon! We even have an adopter waiting to adopt the pair ( if it works) There is SO much behind the scenes work that is done every day at the rescue. Kudos to Kathy for helping out every Sunday at Bandera- couldn't do it without you!! Our Handling Piggies workshop was a success and people got a chance to work on their skills and gain more confidence. Wonderful day overall!!

If we can’t get Pet Stores to stop selling guinea pigs, at least 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 “𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒆𝒓/𝑩𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒂𝒔𝒚 𝑷𝒆𝒕” 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 AND 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙤𝙮𝙚𝙚𝙨 so they can truly inform the potential adopters!
