Happy Concert Week from IlluMen!

We look forward to sharing In Faith · In Hope · In Love with our San Antonio community. Thank you to Sister Mary Henry, the Sisters of Charity of the Immaculate Word, and all those at the Chapel of the Incarnate Word for hosting us this Sunday at 4pm on the Caritas Concerts series.

The program presents themes of optimism, joy, and community. It also includes two world premieres!

First, a work by our own Artistic Director, Jordan D. Boyd, titled “Live in Joy”. Written in response to the recent pandemic, this a ca****la piece invites one to find peace in the midst of turmoil and suffering.

Next, a new tenor-bass work from Italian-American composer Raphael Fusco. This anthem of resistance sets a text by Sherry Blevins and demands we take a hard look a what is happening in our world and make a change.

We hope you will join us this Sunday at 4pm for this FREE performance! Until then, please enjoy Franz Schubert’s Die Nacht. And ode to the serenity of nature, let it bring you a moment of peace on your Monday.
