🍎🚗 Mass Drive-Thru Food Distribution + Ready, Set, School! 🎒✏️
Saturday, August 22 | 9 AM–12 PM
We’re getting ready to serve our community AND send some kiddos back to school with a little extra love! 💚
During our upcoming Mass Drive-Thru Food Distribution, Circle of Arms will also host our Ready, Set, School! giveaway. While supplies last, children will receive a special back-to-school gift including:
✏️ Filled pencil case with pencils, highlighters, erasers, and snacks.
💛 Encouragement stickers
🎧 Wired earbuds for class
💧 Reusable water bottle

Important: Supplies are limited to 2 children per household, and children MUST be present to receive a gift.
📋 Registration is required for the food distribution. Please follow the registration instructions carefully. If you need help completing the form, we kindly ask that you reach out to a friend or family member for assistance. Circle of Arms operates with a small volunteer team, so unfortunately we cannot complete individual registrations by phone or text.

2nd Annual MST/PTSD Symposium this September, and we’re looking for vendors, community organizations, wellness providers, and sponsors who are passionate about supporting veterans, survivors, military families, caregivers, and first responders.

Attention families with kids in middle school or high school read the following college essay scholarship contest. Share with someone you know 💚

Back-to-school season is the perfect time for students thinking about the future to explore VFW scholarships.

The VFW is proud to invest in the next generation by encouraging patriotism, civic engagement, and educational achievement through our national youth scholarship programs.

🔴Voice of Democracy is open to students in grades 9–12, offering the opportunity to compete for up to a $35,000 national scholarship.

⚪Patriot's Pen is open to students in grades 6–8, with the top national award of $5,000.

🔵Students compete for awards and scholarships at the Post, District, Department (State), and National levels.

Review the timeline to stay on track, then contact your local VFW Post to learn how to enter. All student entries must be submitted to a participating VFW Post by October 31.

At 94 years young, Mr. Ramos, a proud Korean War veteran, reminds us that courage doesn’t retire with age. Sadly, too many of our senior veterans face food insecurity after a lifetime of serving their country.

No veteran should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Today, we’re honoring Mr. Ramos and every aging veteran by continuing to raise awareness of this often unseen need. 🇺🇸💚KoreanWarVeteran
