Close to Home exists to ensure everyone has a place to call home in San Antonio and Bexar County. As the region's Continuum of Care (CoC) lead agency, Close to Home secures and distributes funding for direct service providers in the housing and homeless community and provides guidance to improve policies and programs. We accomplish our mission by strengthening our coordinated system of care, promoting sustainable strategies, focusing on measurable impact, and advocating for people experiencing homelessness.

💜🏡 Thank you to the Commission on Domestic Violence for inviting members of the Alliance to House Everyone to present at the CCDV Symposium!

We were proud to join partners from UTSA's HEART Program, and to share our collective work at the intersection of domestic violence, housing instability and homelessness. Our session, “Breaking the Cycle: Housing as a Pathway to Safety, Stability, and Healing”, highlighted the importance of collaboration between domestic violence service providers and housing programs to reduce barriers, expand resources, and create safer pathways to housing for survivors and their families. 🤝

Heavy rainfall and flash flood threats will affect our area through Friday, with rain totals reaching as high as 8 inches. Please stay safe and help us care for our community!

Support a Neighbor in Need: If you see an unsheltered neighbor who needs shelter, safe placement, or street outreach support during this severe weather event, please call 3-1-1 or the Community Connections Hotline at (210) 207-1799.

Exercise Extreme Caution: Turn around, don't drown. Never walk or drive through flooded roads, low-water crossings, or near swollen drainage ditches and creeks.

Stay Informed: Have multiple ways to receive emergency weather alerts, review your safety plans, and avoid low-lying outdoor areas.
