P.A.M. Media Outreach, Inc. is celebrating 10 years of intentional youth leadership development during the 2026–2027 school year!

For a decade, we have worked alongside schools, community organizations, educators, families, and community leaders to help young people strengthen the skills they need to lead. Our youth learn public speaking, presentation skills, communication, teamwork, accountability, problem-solving, and how to professionally address the questions and concerns that matter in their schools and communities.

Throughout this school year, we will celebrate our 10th anniversary at the schools and community organizations where our youth leadership programs are taking place. This milestone belongs to every young person who has stepped forward, found their voice, accepted a leadership role, and discovered that their ideas matter. Ten years later, our commitment remains the same: developing young leaders intentionally and preparing them to lead with Respect, Accountability, Communication, and Commitment (RACC).

SUBJECT: Leadership Coming Full Circle at P.A.M. Media Outreach!

Today, our instructor Syraiah Crawford had the opportunity to visit Memorial High School and Kennedy High School and meet her points of contact for the schools where she will be teaching leadership skills this school year.

This is Syraiah’s second year serving as a P.A.M. Media Outreach instructor, but her journey with us began long before she became an instructor. Syraiah, just like Dakari Bailey, was once a young leader in the P.A.M. Media Outreach Leadership Program.

Today, they are both pouring back into the next generation. Our philosophy is simple:
Go Back and Give Back. ❤️

We want our young people to grow through our program, develop as leaders, and eventually use what they have learned to make an impact in the communities that helped shape them.

Watching former P.A.M. youth leaders return as instructors is our philosophy in action.

This is intentional leadership development. This is P.A.M. Media Outreach. ❤️

Leadership continues beyond the classroom and into the classroom!

P.A.M. Media Outreach is proud to celebrate our Founder & CEO, Dr. Paula A. Monroe, as she steps into her new roles as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Silicon Valley and Wayland Baptist University.

For years, Dr. Monroe has worked to develop young leaders through practical learning, critical thinking, mentorship, and community engagement. Now, she has the opportunity to bring that same passion and real-world experience into higher education.

As Dr. Monroe expands her work into the university classroom, P.A.M. Media Outreach Leadership Program continues strong with an excellent team committed to developing the next generation of leaders.

Today, Terry and I had the privilege of presenting Dakari Bailey, a 2026 graduate of Sam Houston High School (SAISD), with the $1,000 P.A.M. Media Outreach RACC Leadership Scholarship.

Since joining our leadership program in 2022, Dakari has served as both a Logistics Manager and Director, helping lead Teen Summits, serving at community events, and consistently demonstrating what leadership through service looks like.

This fall, Dakari will attend The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) to study Mechanical Engineering, with the goal of one day serving in the United States Army. We couldn't be prouder of the young man and leader he has become.

One of my favorite parts of today was having our granddaughter, Faith Elaine, by our side. She's beginning to learn the ropes of P.A.M. Media Outreach and seeing firsthand what it means to invest in the next generation. Legacy is built one relationship, one opportunity, and one young leader at a time.

After the presentation, we celebrated at one of our favorite soul food spots, Tryst Kitchen + Cocktails. Great food, great conversation, and a wonderful way to celebrate this milestone.

Congratulations, Dakari! Your P.A.M. Media Outreach family will always be cheering you on.
..And yes, before the afternoon was over, Dakari had already agreed to join us at an upcoming golf tournament our organization will be participating in. 😄 His willingness to continue serving, even after graduating, says a lot about the kind of leader he has become.

One of the things I love most about working with these young leaders is watching leadership develop in real time.

Today, we were deciding whether to raise our hands or place our hands over our hearts before speaking. I didn't make the decision for them. I let them decide together as a leadership team.

Without hesitation, they all agreed to do what Aiden was doing...placing their hands over their hearts.

It may seem like a small moment, but it's moments like these that remind me leadership is learned through listening, collaboration, and respecting one another's ideas.

Oh...how I love what I do. ❤️

There is something special happening on San Antonio's Westside: P.A.M. Media Outreach's Outside of the School Walls Leadership Summer Program.

This summer, P.A.M. Media Outreach proudly launched our Outside of the School Walls Leadership Summer Program in partnership with Harper's Chapel Ministries, bringing together an incredible group of elementary youth leaders eager to learn, grow, and lead.

Today marked another exciting day of Week 2, and it has been inspiring to watch our elementary youth leaders grow in confidence with each session. Through interactive leadership activities, they are strengthening their communication skills, learning the value of teamwork, encouraging one another, solving problems, and making positive choices. Most importantly, they are discovering that leadership begins with the choices they make every day.

One of the greatest joys has been watching their personalities shine. New friendships are forming. Smiles, laughter, and teamwork are filling the room, creating an environment where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to lead.

P.A.M. Media Outreach is grateful to Harper's Chapel Ministries for partnering with us to invest in the next generation of leaders. I am also thankful for the support of **my family—Faith Elaine and Terry—**whose encouragement, enthusiasm, and servant hearts help create a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring environment where our youth leaders can learn, grow, and thrive.

We are excited to continue this journey and look forward to seeing our youth leaders build on what they have learned in the weeks ahead.

Everything we do at P.A.M. Media Outreach is grounded in our RACC Framework: Respect, Accountability, Communication, and Commitment.

These four values help guide our youth leaders as they learn to work with others, use their voices, take responsibility, and stay committed to their goals. We believe leadership starts with character, and character starts with values.

Strong leaders are not born. They are developed through consistent growth, guidance, and opportunity.

Still reflecting on the impact of our very first Westside Rising: Citywide Youth Leadership Summit.

Hearing comments like, “The summit was phenomenal,” and “The youth were poised and professional,” meant so much to our organization and especially to our youth leaders who worked hard preparing for this moment.

Thank you to every community leader, parent, educator, volunteer, supporter, and guest who showed up, encouraged our youth, and helped create such a meaningful experience.

Because of this community, our young leaders were able to step up, use their voices, and lead with confidence.

96% of participants rated the summit excellent, and we are excited about what is ahead for these youth and our city.

This morning at 10:30 a.m., our Westside Engagement Youth Leaders and Citywide Youth Leaders came together with purpose and intention to plan the upcoming Citywide Teen Summit.

These youth leaders represent a powerful collaboration across multiple campuses, including Sam Houston High School, St. Philip’s Early College High School, Jefferson High School, Navarro High School, MacArthur High School, McAuliffe Middle School, Bob Hope Elementary, Harpers Chapel Ministries, and Southwest Legacy High School.

What we witnessed was leadership in action. These young leaders demonstrated Respect, Accountability, Communication, and Commitment throughout the entire meeting. They actively participated, shared thoughtful input, took detailed notes, and collaborated to strengthen the logistics of their summit taking place on May 23rd, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Spurs Impact Center.

This was more than preparation. This was ownership.

One youth shared afterward: “I’m nervous… but I can’t wait.” Followed by: “That went amazing!”

This is exactly what leadership development looks like. Growth. Courage. Confidence in progress.
