This is John and Gertrude Hendrick, immigrants from Ireland, who moved to Stockdale, Texas. John worked for the U.S. Army. These are their three girls: Mae Elizabeth, Angela, and Veronica. These photos were taken around 1881. In 1883 John was killed and Gerturde moved back to Ireland. Gertrude and the girls returned to Sutherland Springs in 1901 and purchased Mr. J. L. Tiner's House. She and family members owned the house for the next 93 years.

You can help save the house and tell the amazing story of the Hendrick and Hodges family.

We are trying to preserve the Tiner House in Sutherland Springs, Texas. It is in danger of being torn down if the funds cannot be raised to relocate it by the end of this year.
