Everything starts with a dream. đź’›

Sometimes it sounds like play, but it is often the
beginning of something real.

At Project RED, we believe those small dreams
matter. With support and opportunity, they can
grow into something steady and meaningful over
time.

Every future starts somewhere.

Vilma is currently in her second year of high school,
something she never imagined would be possible for
her. For much of her life, continuing her education
did not feel like an option. With the support of Project
RED, she made the decision to begin working toward
her high school degree.

Vilma often talks with the other women at RED about
what it has taken to keep going. For a long time, the
only people supporting her in this dream were her
husband and Project RED.

She encourages other women to keep going even
when fear and doubt show up, because she has felt
that too.

Vilma hopes to continue studying even after finishing
high school. ♥️

About a decade ago, Mario never thought he would even make it to high school.
Today, he is a certified public accountant.

Through each stage—primary school, high school, and university—Project RED provided scholarships, walking alongside him year after year.

We’ve seen God work through steady support, faithful commitment, and Mario’s determination to keep moving forward. ❤️

For many of the children we
serve, a bed isn’t guaranteed.

But rest matters.
It helps them show up to school,
stay engaged, and keep moving
forward.

Small things create real change
over time. ❤

You can provide a bed for a child
for $100.

The mothers in our community carry more than most will ever see. They lead with courage, care for others with intention, and continue showing up, day after day, creating homes where their children can grow in safety and hope.

Today, we celebrate them! Happy Mother’s Day to the women who carry so much with strength, and who create homes where love, stability, and hope can grow.

“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs without fear of the future. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.”
— Proverbs 31:25–26

| Behind the work of Project RED are women who carry both leadership and care into everything they do. ♥️✨

Many of the mothers on our staff spend their days walking closely with children and families, listening, supporting, and showing up in steady and meaningful ways. And that same care extends beyond their work with families.

Within our team, they are often the ones who notice, who check in, who create a sense of stability and support for others. They care for the people around them in quiet and consistent ways that shape our culture every day.

We are grateful for the women and mothers of RED who carry so much with strength and intention, and who help make this work what it is. 🤱🏻

Magaly did it! 🎓💛

This moment is from her college graduation, where she earned her nursing degree while raising her child as a single mother.

And it’s still worth celebrating.
Behind this milestone are years of showing up when it wasn’t easy.
Years of carrying responsibility, navigating deep childhood trauma, and pushing through poverty, loss, and so many obstacles along the way.

And still, she kept going.
Not just for herself, but for her child. For a different future. For something steady and good.
Magaly has continued to make the most of every opportunity in front of her, and it has been a privilege to walk alongside her through her journey.

This moment marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with possibility, stability, and purpose.

Thank you for being part of the hope that makes stories like Magaly’s possible. 💛

Abigail carries a lot, and she shows up every day.

She is raising her own children and has also taken in her nieces and nephews. For them, she has stepped into the role of mother, offering the same care, protection, and consistency to each child.

Her journey has not been easy. But she continues forward with determination, creating a home where her family can experience stability and belonging.

At Project RED, we are grateful to walk alongside women like Abigail, who choose to keep going and create something different for the children in their care.

Thank you for being part of the hope. ❤

Some women step into motherhood in ways they never expected.

Blanca and Xiomara are two grandmothers in our program who are now raising their grandsons, and it is striking how similar their stories are. Both sets of boys have experienced deep trauma. And in response, Blanca and Xiomara have stepped in with resilience, strength, and a wholehearted willingness to take on the role of mother.

In the face of difficult circumstances, they show up each day, creating stability, protection, and a sense of home. They carry a lot, providing, nurturing, and continuing forward even through their own challenges. And still, their homes are marked by patience, love, and consistency.

At Project RED, we are deeply grateful for women like Blanca and Xiomara. Their care reflects a kind of love that holds families together and creates space for something new.

Thank you for being part of this hope. ❤️
