1 week! In just 1 short week we will be gathering for Captain’s Meeting for the 2026 Mid-Coast Smackdown!

Registration will stay open until the Weighmaster takes the microphone to go over the rules.

Early registration closes in a few hours. Don’t worry, registration stays open until the start of the captains meeting, you will just donate a little more to the cause with your entry fee.

We are sitting at 85 teams.
24 guided teams
35 non-guided teams
26 teams that are confirmed sponsors without paperwork. It’s always the sponsors. 🤣

ALL OF THESE NUMBERS WILL CHANGE.

Remember, if you want to add a side pot (flounder) or Calcutta to an already paid entry, we can handle it at the Captains meeting. We will finalize and confirm all entries Friday night.

Registration is still open, but here is a numbers update. As of yesterday, we have SEVENTY FIVE (yes 75) teams registered, between regular teams and sponsors.

We have roughly 40 teams with our sponsors and 35 ‘regular’ teams.

Did you know that a Bronze - $1,250 sponsorship includes a team, all side pots, a sponsor gift, and RESERVED INDOOR SEATING.

Already registered team entry can be upgraded to a sponsorship, just reach out by May 22.

We are officially 2 weeks away from the Tournament!

ANNOUNCEMENT TIME 🎉🎉🎉

You asked, and asked....... this year for the first time we are adding a FLOUNDER SIDE POT!

Sponsor teams will automatically be entered into the Flounder Side Pots. If you have already registered a team and would like to add the Flounder side pot, you can add it at the Captain's meeting during check in. The pot option is active on the website for new registrations.

To really get the Flounder Side pot kicked off with a bang, Berry O'Bryan with Anderson Columbia Co. Inc is putting $1,250 in added money to split between the 2 pots!

It's going to be an incredible year!

The following information will be added to the rules and are in alignment with the Redfish and Trout side pots.

BIG FLOUNDER SIDE POT DIVISION
• 100% PAYOUT
• 1st place pays out 60% of total amount collected per division
• 2nd place pays out 30% of total amount collected per division
• 3rd place pays out 10% of total amount collected per division
• Big FLOUNDER divided into Guided and Non-Guided Payouts by entries
• $50 per team, Big FLOUNDER entry included in Sponsor entries
• Heaviest FLOUNDER
• Slot size allowed - GREATER THAN 15 INCHES
• Fish entered in big stringer and/or Calcutta may be used inside pot
• Tie breaker will be decided by weigh in time.

Fun fact: GUIDES can fish as the 4th spot on the team if they want. Heck…. Even a boat FULL OF GUIDES can fish as a team…. Although they might spend all day arguing over whose secret spot to use for the flounder.

2026 rules are posted! No changes from last year…. Except the date!

Happy Monday!!! Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026 tournament! Check out the new website.

Our 2025 move to Rockport/Fulton area was so well received that we have kept the same
location and weekend. The only major change to this year is the reserved seating. Due to
the limited space of the Fulton Convention Center, reserved tables for VIP and sponsors will
be located inside. Tables and seating for non-sponsor teams will be located in an outdoor
tent at the Convention Center. Never fear! The Convention Center will be open to all
attendees for raffles, games, auction, and awards, however the indoor seating will be
reserved for the sponsors. Reserve your indoor seating by being a sponsor!
