Our play of the weekend comes from none other than #2 Ezekiel "Zeke" Flores!
With the new season starting we placed him in a new role setting the stage for who hes going to become as a player and leader here in the next year or so! He had been struggling the last few games but he never gave up. We know what his capabilities are and who he is so we pulled him aside and gave him a self confidence check letting him know we believe in him and to go out there and keep playing zeke ball! This game we were all tested as coaches and players but never gave up! With about 26 seconds left coaches called a timeout tied up 6-6 in a very well played and coached game from both teams! We drew up a play we felt good about, getting him in the right spot where he'd been comfortable shooting coming off a monster screen from our very own ms. "Lock -down" Leia to hit the game winner!!! This play was a prime example of never giving up and being relentless! The play almost ended with a turn over but as it being Zeke he didnt give up and kept his dibble alive long enough to get him right where he wanted to knock it down after getting another clutch screen from Leia!! Way to go Zeke and SA Glory 1/2nd graders coming out with the tough win!! They still have a long way to go but boy will they be scary all in due time!
