Stay Strong Foundation, Inc Dedicated to serving children and their families who are battling all types of pediatric cancer. Noah Adams is a 20-year-old college student.

His favorite things are skateboarding sunsets, and his service animal, Aria. A proud JROTC member for 4 years and a 2021 graduate of Central Catholic High School, his dream was to attend the University of Pittsburgh and become a child and adolescent psychiatrist. Noah is the youngest of 4 siblings. His brother, an avid skateboarder, when into the Navy and left his skateboard for Noah. He began to

learn how to use the skateboard and quickly became a fan himself. It was in the use of this skateboard that Noah became aware of his condition.

2020
*On June 30th, in the heat of the pandemic and the summer before his senior year, an MRI for a skateboard injury determined he had Ewing Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer.
*On July 24th, he began chemotherapy
*On October 21st, he had his rotationplasty surgery to remove cancer, which made him an amputee at the age of 17.

2021
*In February, he was fitted for his prosthetic
*In April he attended his Military Ball - WALKING!
*May 14th he rang the bell and was cancer free!
*August - He began his college career at the University of Pittsburgh on a full academic scholarship. His JROTC leaders arranged for Noah to participate in the Center for the Intrepid rehab center at BAMC. He is one of the very few civilians who have been allowed to participate in this program. Noah's strength, determination, and positive outlook on life have helped him to live life to the fullest. On September 1, 2021, he created the Stay Strong Foundation, whose mission is to serve children and their families battling all types of pediatric cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Noah is currently in remission and attends the University of Pittsburgh, studying to be a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist. The Stay Strong Foundation, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization Tax ID #87-2412167.

Somewhere along the way, this hospital became home. ๐Ÿ’›

Today we went to visit our sweet Aubree and deliver a little goodie basket while she battles that nasty beast called Ewing Sarcoma once again. Relapse is cruel, unfair, and heartbreakingโ€ฆ especially for kids.

But while we were there, it turned into a little reunion/homecoming for Noah. The minute people realized he was in the building, two of his favorite nurses came running for hugs like no time had passed at all. ๐Ÿฅน

And of course the stories started flowingโ€ฆ

Kim will forever be the reason Noah still loves Cheez-Its so much. There was a point during treatment where he couldnโ€™t keep ANYTHING down. They were trying everything imaginable and nothing worked. Kim went into her own personal snack stash, brought him Cheez-Its, and somehowโ€ฆ those stayed down. So naturally she handed him the whole box. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ’›

And Stephanieโ€ฆ wellโ€ฆ letโ€™s just say teenage Noah had a full-on crush on her. He wanted to ask her to prom and probably had a few other teenage-boy thoughts too lol. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

Thatโ€™s the thing about the pediatric cancer worldโ€ฆ itโ€™s small. Itโ€™s a family nobody wants to join, but once youโ€™re in it, those bonds never leave.

These nurses, doctors, Child Life teams, and fellow warrior families become part of your heart forever. They loved Noah through some of the hardest days of our lives, and years later that love is still there.

And THIS right hereโ€ฆ this is why Stay Strong Foundation exists.

Not for recognition.
Not for applause.
But because these kids become our family forever.

Because once youโ€™ve watched a child fight cancer, you never stop fighting alongside them. ๐Ÿ’›๐ŸŽ—๏ธ
