ITโS OUR BIRTHDAY! ๐๐๐
Five years ago today, on September 1, 2021, the Stay Strong Foundation officially began.
And that date was no accident.
During Noahโs own cancer treatment, there was a little boy โ maybe 3 or 4 years old โ who seemed to be at the hospital every time Noah was there receiving chemo. We never knew his name. We never really got to know his family. It was COVID, and so much of that time was spent behind masks, closed doors, and distance.
But Noah noticed him.
This tiny little boy was always smiling.
In the middle of cancer. In the middle of treatment. In the middle of something no child should ever have to endureโฆ he still carried this incredible little light with him.
That stayed with Noah.
He wanted other childhood cancer warriors and their families to feel some of that same hope, love, encouragement and joy โ even on the hardest days.
And from that idea, Stay Strong Foundation was born.
Noah intentionally chose September 1st, the first day of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, to officially launch the foundation.
And somehowโฆ here we are.
FIVE YEARS LATER. ๐๐๏ธ
Five years of showing up.
Five years of giving.
Five years of celebrating victories and standing beside families through heartbreak.
Five years of trying to create smiles in places where smiles can sometimes be hard to find.
We may never know the name of that little boy who unknowingly helped inspire all of this. But his smile mattered. His light traveled much farther than he could ever have known.
Today, we celebrate 5 years of Stay Strong โ and every warrior, survivor, angel, sibling, parent, donor, volunteer, partner and friend who has become part of this family along the way.
