I very quickly fell in love with school visits and I am missing them so much right now! With virtual learning in full effect I wanted to virtually share my message with students at home! It is important for students to remember no matter where they are learning as long as they believe in themselves, they have the power to set a goal, reach it and do great things! Comment below, pictures, thoughts, and ideas your at home students are experiencing at this time!

This Thursday would have kicked off my official Fiesta festivities as La Reina de la Feria de las Flores. Seeing the news that our city is hosting a virtual Fiesta has me really looking forward to celebrating with you all in the fall. Please check back later this week as I will be posting the message I was sharing at schools before our festivities were postponed for you to share virtually during online school. In addition, later this week I will have more information on how you can join in on the at-home Fiesta fun. I can't wait to see you all soon!

La Reina Feria de las Flores 2020

Growing up in San Antonio, the highlight of my year was Fiesta. The excitement that buzzed through the city was electric and it became a dream of mine to someday be a part of Fiesta festivities. Now that I have earned a college degree from TCU, I appreciate our celebration more than ever because of the impact it has on our community.

I am excited to be La Reina de la Feria de las Flores 2020! As part of this campaign, I have set a goal to raise $55,000 for the LULAC Parent/Child Scholarship Program. This extraordinary program offers scholarships that support two generations of students. The program provides financial incentives for parents to successfully pursue and earn a degree at one of the Alamo Colleges. By completing their degree, the parent then earns a two-year scholarship for their child to attend Alamo Colleges when they become of age. I am motivated by the impact that this scholarship can have for generations of San Antonio students!

Viva Fiesta!
