Looking for a BIG boy with an even BIGGER heart? Meet Max! ❤️

Max is one of those dogs who is simply easy to love. He is a big, sweet, affectionate love bug who enjoys being with his people and has yet to meet a stranger—human or canine! We believe Max is a Great Pyrenees, possibly mixed with Irish Wolfhound, which may explain those long legs and his wonderfully shaggy good looks. He is 100lbs of pure unconditional love & loyalty.

We aren’t sure how Max feels about a crate because, quite simply, he hasn’t needed one. He has been a wonderful house guest without it.

💔 Meet Millie. She deserved so much better.

Millie came into GPAT care after a comment on a local Lost & Found Pets post revealed that she had been listed on Craigslist as a “giveaway” and was ultimately dumped at the end of July.

This sweet girl is only about 4 months old and weighs just 32 lbs. She wasn’t microchipped, and we’re grateful someone noticed her story and helped get her to safety.

Now Millie is safe and officially a GPAT girl. Her next chapter starts here—and we can’t wait to show her what being loved and cared for really looks like.

It’s Tongue Out Tuesday, and Charlie understood the assignment! 🐾🤍

This handsome boy is super friendly, polite, loves treats and really loves his people. 🥰 We think he’s around 5 years old. He gets along well with other dogs in his foster home— big and small.

His sweet eyes, that giant smile, and that adorable tongue have us completely smitten. ❤️🐾

Sweet Sigrid was adopted a few weeks back, and we’re so happy to share that she’s settling into her new life beautifully!

Skye AKA Skyler is still waiting for her happily ever after. She has been with us since mid-May, and this shy girl is slowly learning that she’s safe. She’ll need a quiet home, a patient person or couple, and someone who understands that trust takes time. No young or rowdy kids, please.

She may not run into your arms on day one… but we think she’ll be worth the wait. 🥹❤️

🚨Urgent: Foster Needed🚨

This beautiful boy has found himself at the local shelter in the Houston area. We cannot help him without an approved dedicated foster.

Here’s the skinny on him:
🐾 He’s young
🐾 Currently around 75lbs, will be 90-95 full grown
🐾 Polite & friendly with other doggies, adults, and kiddos
🐾 Walks well on leash
🐾 Has been nonreactive to cats at the shelter
🐾 Very sweet with volunteers and takes treats nicely. He is food motivated.

🎉 Happy Tails for Cody! 🐾

Sometimes the best matches happen when you least expect them. ❤️

Cody met his forever family at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows event we attended in mid-July, and just a few days later, he was on his way home!

We're thrilled to report that he's settling in wonderfully and enjoying life with his new family. Seeing dogs like Cody find the loving homes they deserve is exactly why we do what we do.

Congratulations, Cody! We can't wait to watch your next chapter unfold. 🐶🏡💙

A Whiskey Update 💙

We have some great news to share, Whiskey is doing amazing! His drains have been removed, and his incision is looking clean, healthy, and healing beautifully. He will go back next week to have his sutures removed.

He’s happy, eating well, and his digestive system is back to normal. He did have a little post-op nausea after anesthesia, but with some chicken broth, rice, and medication, he bounced right back and hasn't had any further issues.

We couldn't be happier with his progress! Thank you to everyone who has sent love, prayers, support, and donations towards his surgery & recovery. Keep cheering him on as he continues to heal! 🐾💙
