Maya’s Love, let’s send a little love from home. 💗🇺🇸

We’re proud to support San Antonio Supports Our Sailors, an initiative supporting sailors serving on extended overseas deployments.

We’re inviting the Maya’s Love community to be part of the mission by writing handwritten letters of encouragement, gratitude, and support. A few words from home can mean so much when you’re serving far away.

A student’s behavior can tell us something, but it doesn’t always tell us the whole story.

Sleeping in class, withdrawing, acting out, missing assignments, or coming to school without supplies may be connected to challenges happening beyond the classroom.

Behind the Backpack encourages schools to look beyond what we see and ask: What might this student be carrying?

When we replace assumptions with curiosity and empathy, we create schools where students feel seen, supported, and safe. 💗
