A year ago today, I started my new hobby of surfing! It’s crazy to see how I measured and perceived progression along the way verses how much progression was actually taking place.

One tip to my ABSOLUTE beginner self is to stop comparing yourself to others and to just surf for the joy of surfing.

It’s been a fun year. I have learned SO MUCH, met and connected with all of you local surfers, and have had some of my favorite memories while surfing. Here’s to many more years of progression, travel, and new friends!

Started this Instagram account to meet local surfers and it’s been so much fun, but lately we’ve been spending a lot of time at the skatepark.

Switching back and forth between two hobbies has been so refreshing and honestly each sport complements the other so well.

Sooooo we’re going to be sharing more surf/skate content instead of strictly surfing!

A couple of troopers from today’s lesson! Rainstorms that feel like you’re getting pelted with Nerf gun bullets aren’t the best conditions to surf in, but they didn’t lose their stoke!
