The Lambda Omicron Chapter of the Delta Zeta sorority was founded in April of 1975 at Angelo State University, making it the first sorority at ASU. Members enjoy sisterhood and social events, participating in philanthropic endeavors, being active members of the ASU and San Angelo communities, maintaining high academic standards, and creating lifelong friendships!

I joined Delta Zeta because of the genuine friendships I made through recruitment. As soon as I walk through our recruitment doors I knew that these girls were who I wanted to spend my college career with. Our work with our philanthropy of speech and hearing is something that has brought me so much joy and connection to our community. DZ has also brought me joys, tears, and laughter with some of my best friends and I couldn’t have asked for better sisters or leaders. My sisters in Delta Zeta are kind, genuine, loyal, loving and supportive, which inherently makes me want to be better and show up more for others. I chose DZ because from the very beginning I felt welcomed, supported, and truly valued. This sisterhood has given me more than just friendships it has helped me grow in confidence, leadership, and self-love. As VP of Programs, I’ve had the opportunity to give back to a chapter that has given me so much by creating meaningful experiences and events for my sisters.

One of the things I love most about Delta Zeta is our philanthropy, Speech and Hearing. Being part of a sisterhood that is so passionate about advocating for communication, inclusion, and accessibility has made my experience even more meaningful.
