🚨 WEATHER SAFETY NOTICE – SAMSON, ALABAMA 🚨

The safety of our citizens is our top priority. We encourage everyone in Samson and the surrounding areas to take precautions and prepare for the potential impacts of Hurricane Isaias.

Please take the time to prepare yourself and your family by following these safety recommendations:

⛽ Fill up your vehicles with gas in case travel becomes difficult or fuel becomes unavailable.

🛒 Stock up on essential supplies, including drinking water, nonperishable food, medications, batteries, flashlights, and other emergency necessities.

🏠 Stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather. Stay away from downed power lines and flooded roadways.

📱 Monitor local weather reports and official emergency alerts for the latest information and instructions.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Check on your family, elderly neighbors, and anyone who may need assistance preparing for the storm.

⚠️ Please do not take this weather threat lightly. Taking a few precautions now can make a big difference in keeping you and your loved ones safe.

The Samson community is important to us, and we ask everyone to stay alert, be prepared, and look out for one another.

Please stay safe, Samson!

We know so many of y’all are out prepping for the hurricane, so this seems like the perfect time to mention this! 🦁

While you’re out searching for your hurricane snacks, think of our Tiny Tigers, too! 🐯💙

The Samson Pride Community Lions Club is collecting small, individually packaged snacks and drinks to donate to our school nurse so these Tiny Tigers have something available when they aren’t feeling their best!

🛒 A few simple things to grab while you’re shopping:
• Mini Sprite cans
• Mini water bottles
• Saltine crackers
• Peanut butter crackers
• Graham crackers
• Slim Jim’s
• Applesauce pouches

Any additional small, individually packaged snacks are greatly appreciated! 💛

These are items you can easily add to your regular weekly grocery trip, too. Even a small box of snacks or a couple extra items can make a difference! Every little bit helps! 💙

And who knows?! With enough donations, we may even be able to share some of the love with our TIGERS at the high school, too! 🐅

🤍 Want to donate? Message us, and we’ll arrange a pickup, or reach out to a Lions Club member if you know one! 🦁

Let’s take care of our community, one Tiny Tiger at a time! 💙💛
