The lines were long because the friendship and leadership runs deep! We were honored to celebrate Phil today and enjoyed great food and even better company.

Many thanks for all the help honoring an amazing man who has dedicated his life to making the lives of others full of possibilities.

We hope his retirement is full of many dreams coming to fruition because he has truly helped turn dreams into reality at his years with TURN !

For 45 years, Phil Shumway helped champion services that empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live meaningful lives in their communities.

As we celebrate his retirement, we honor a legacy that continues through the experiences, relationships, and achievements of the individuals we support every day.

After decades of changing lives, Phil Shumway is retiring from TURN Community Services, and you can join us for a sweet celebration THIS FRIDAY, June 12th, from 12-3pm, at the Wheeler Farm Education Center in Murray.

As Phil begins this next chapter, we wanted him to hear directly from the people who know his impact best.

Fish and Fun June 2026

Fish and Fun was a total success today for Jeanie, Sue Del, LaJean and Kenzie. Everyone caught fish and got their certificates.
A HUGE shout out to Sand Hollow State Park and The National Guard for hosting us!

What's fun about a drum circle? You don't have to be an expert to have fun and everyone can participate! There are no wrong notes when you are having fun with friends! Would definitely try this again.

That's what our friends at Everest decided to do one day, so they carefully drew and carved their erasers to reveal the intended designs, making sure to remember that the images would turn out reversed, once inked. Which one do you like the best?

Visiting a place that was once bustling with life but is now silent, is both alluring, and also creepy! Red Hills Art Center clients decided to go out to Grafton Ghost town in hopes to spot some spirits. They enjoyed the old town, having a picnic and spooking each other.
