We are excited to spotlight Koleton Miller, an alumnus of the Institute’s student program! 🌟🎓

Koleton is currently an Associate on Alpine Operations Group’s Direct Sourcing team at Alpine Investors, where he works closely with Alpine’s portfolio companies to identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, analyze financial and business information, and support the ex*****on of strategic transactions. “My role sits at the intersection of relationship building, financial analysis, and M&A ex*****on,” Koleton says.

As an intern on our Impact Investing team, Koleton says he developed skills that continue to shape his approach to work today. “I was introduced to the world of venture investing and quickly became fascinated by the role investors can play in helping innovative businesses grow and scale,” he says.

Utah Blue Industry Summit: in the books! 💧

Today, 200+ researchers, scientists, investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and community leaders came together at the Impact & Prosperity Epicenter for a day focused on one goal: building a more resilient water future for Utah.

Sen. John Curtis challenged the room to tap into Utah's roots — to be courageous, think big, and lead on water scarcity, an issue we face locally that also touches 70% of the world.

One theme carried through the day: we may speak different vocabulary across sectors, but researchers, investors, entrepreneurs, and policymakers alike share the same intention — real solutions for the Great Salt Lake and beyond.

Colin brings a breadth of expertise in global sustainable investing. He is a Founding Partner of Generation Investment Management, established in 2004 as a dedicated sustainable investor. Colin is head of the firm’s San Francisco office and is a Trustee of The Generation Foundation. Prior to Generation, he worked for Sustainable Asset Management in Zurich, Arthur D. Little in London, and TotalEnergies in Paris.

He is a Member of the Board of Directors of The Ostara Collective and a Trustee of The Branson School in California. He serves on the Advisory Board of CC-Lab and the California Advisory Board of TeamGB LA28 Olympics.
