Way, a nonprofit based out of Murray, Utah. The J.R. Way has been a life long journey. Way is a phrase that started when friends of mine would do good deeds around the community, and they would comment, “It’s The J.R. Way!”. As that phrase spread, we decided to take it to the next level and here we are today; a nonprofit giving back and spreading good vibes anywhere and everywhere we can. As an ac
tive philanthropist in my community and surrounding communities, I have been involved with many nonprofits, charities and foundations. I wanted a way to give back without having to limit myself to one cause. I wanted to be able to spread good vibes, inspire others, and lend a helping hand to those in need and to those that want to make a difference. I wanted a way to open eyes and hearts to issues that need our attention while simultaneously serve as someone who can inform others and share my knowledge on methods to give back and help them make their ideas come to life. Way and our amazing volunteers have given back in many ways, whether it be helping to raise awareness for childhood cancer, many other disabilities and life threatening illnesses, bone marrow registry drives, serving at the local soup kitchen, collecting items for the homeless, bucket lists for terminally ill children and/or adults; events at the women’s shelter, giving our time to the Veterans at different facilities, and so much more. We are always looking for ways to make a difference. With that being said, there are so many people out there not doing anything. The top 2 reasons shared with me from people as to why they don’t do more are, 1) because they don’t have the time and 2) they don’t know where to start. My goal is to inspire you to want to make the time to do more, to do better, to be better. Giving back isn’t always about money, it’s about sharing what YOU have to offer. This could be your time, talents, services, knowledge, your love, a listening ear, your heart. Ultimately, The J.R. Way was created to encourage people to come together, to be the change, to be the light, to make a difference, to collaborate with other non-profits, foundations, charities and/or individuals to raise awareness for the cause at hand, to judge less, to love more, to spread good vibes, and remind everyone…it’s cool to be kind.
