Salisbury Safety Academy 2026

Join the Salisbury Fire Department July 13–16 for a hands-on program exploring fire, police, EMS, lifeguarding, State Police & Coast Guard careers. The Academy is open to High School students
(including rising freshmen). FREE & participants leave First Aid certified.

SFD will be at Triton during Career Week—stop by and say hi!

Preference is given to Salisbury youth, but all Triton District students are encouraged to apply. Spots are limited.

Through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP), eligible households may receive assistance with late-season heating bills. The Emergency Overnight Shelter will be open tonight for residents of Newburyport, Amesbury, Salisbury, Newbury, West Newbury, Rowley, and Byfield.

If you or someone you know needs shelter tonight, please contact us so we can assist with a referral and reserve a bed.

• Valid ID required. If an individual does not have an ID, an agency may provide a letter on official letterhead verifying identity.

• Only service animals may enter the shelter. Pet accommodations are available offsite. Pets will be safely housed overnight and returned to their owners in the morning.
