Our recent rescues. The poor baby with gunky eyes is already looking so much better since they’ve been in our care. Slide to the last photo to see her today 5/28/26. Intake day was 5/26/26. The power of 48hrs of consistent treatment. Unfortunately, she was found cuddling their diseased sibling upon rescue. We were told that the mother kitty was unfortunately killed by a loose dog, so the kittens had no one to depend on 💔💔 thankfully, it’ll only be love & kindness from now on. They’ll never have to struggle to live again.

Our recent rescues we came across when feeding. Poor babies would have become blind or passed from infection without human intervention.

Now they’re indoors, receiving treatment and on the road to healing so they can find a forever home as soon as they’re healthy, spayed/neutered, and vaccinated.

Please consider donating so we can continue saying yes more often; we truly need your support to keep doing this work. Your encouragement, engagement, and kindness mean so much to us. Thank you to our wonderful donors and supporters who continue to advocate for and believe in our mission.

If you’d like to help in other ways, we are desperate for reliable transport. We get messages daily asking for help with TNR, and do our best to respond, but we struggle greatly to drop off & pick up TNR cats from SPCA. Our work schedules limit us. If you are very flexible, reliable, and would like to make an impact, we’d love to have your help to save more kitties by being a driver for us.

UPDATE: FOUND

LOST CAT! Wed. May 6 Salinas, near Garner and Acosta plaza. Elvis just turned 1yr, he’s a longhair black&grey tabby, microchipped. Very sweet and fluffy. He slipped out while his mom was at work.

Please help us bring him back home & spread the word. Let us know if you see him. He was a neonate of ours who was adopted with his brother Nugget. Everyone desperately misses him.

❗️WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES

Hi everyone, we are reaching out to ask for support for Choco Bunny, a kitten who had an undetected injury on her tail that progressed and was surrendered back to us shortly after adoption because of the advanced level of care needed to treat her. She ended up needing more than half her tail amputated.

Rescue is anything but predictable. Choco Bunny is an 8-month-old kitten who has already endured multiple serious medical issues, including an emergency tail amputation after her adoption fell through. We’re now asking for help to cover her care so she can fully recover and get the safe, comfortable life she deserves.

She came to us through our TNR-to-adoption program after we saw how sweet she was. During her spay, the vet discovered her uterus was compromised and without surgery, she likely wouldn’t have survived much longer.

At the time, she had a bald spot on her tail. We suspected ringworm, but testing under a UV light was negative, and no concerns were noted by the vet.

She was adopted, but her new family later noticed her tail rapidly worsening. One morning, it had deteriorated to the point it looked like it might fall off. They also saw signs of aggression, likely from pain that had gone unnoticed. She had always been gentle in our care, so this was a sudden and concerning change. Unable to provide the advanced medical care she needed, they surrendered her back to us.

Our vet recommended amputating more than half of her tail to prevent infection and further complications. Even with limited funds…and while already fundraising for another cat’s dental, this became urgent. We had to act quickly to protect her health.

Any donation toward Choco Bunny’s care is deeply appreciated. She’s just a baby, and she deserves a future filled with comfort, safety, and love once she’s fully healed.

Daisy, now Pumpkin, found her family.

They were looking for an orange, affectionate cat to keep mom company while dad travels for work. They’re a very experienced cat and rescue family, even taking in a lizard they found outside and learning everything needed to keep it safe and thriving, from proper diet to environment and enrichment.

We’re happy to know she’s in such good hands. Daisy was another TNR cat we transitioned into our adoption program after seeing how much she sought out human affection. She’s going to be a wonderful companion and a loved member of the family.
