LA4K helps kids with no insurance, who qualify with financial help for Lyme & tick-borne disease testing & treatment. LymeAid 4 Kids was transferred from the Lyme Disease Association, Inc. (LDA) in August 2025 to the Colorado Tick-Borne Disease Awareness Association (COTBDAA). COTBDAA has been an affiliate of LDA since 2016. r Amy Tan. The LDA wanted to continue this important program and entrusted LA4K to COTBDAA, to continue in Pat Smith's Memory. Many of the LDA volunteers will continue to assist with LA4K under COTBDAA's leadership. After 33 years of advocacy in the Lyme community, the Lyme Disease Association has closed its doors on 12/5/2024. Smith, was the indomitable spirit of the organization and this difficult decision was made after her passing on August 17, 2024.
