Let this be a gentle reminder; the next time you come across someone who is grieving or maybe you know someone in your life who is grieving. Don’t be afraid to bring them up in conversation or ask about them.
Most of the time, it’s okay!
- and in fact , encouraged! It makes us feel like they are still here with us and others recognize their existence too even though they are gone, their stories and impact are not.
I know it can be intimidating and usually your instinct is to say “I’m so sorry” or “my condolences” and that’s okay too… but something that might be even better is…
“Tell me about them” or “what were they like?”
Truly, we love to talk about our loved ones who have passed.
Even if the tears come, we want you to know they were here. 🤍
