8️⃣ of our members attended this year's Heart of the Valley Area meeting hosted by Soroptimist International Chehalem Valley!

🩵 In addition to getting to know each other better, we had the opportunity to mix and mingle with members from Soroptimist International Chehalem Valley, Soroptimist International of Albany, and Soroptimist International - McMinnville, OR.
💙 Each club President shared their annual report, including successes, challenges, and fundraisers.
🩷 We learned about various District and Region procedures.
💜 We heard from the Executive Director and CAO of the Youth Opportunity Program (YOOP) and how they assist local youths with overcoming education barriers and provide employment assistance. Each club provided some amazing raffle baskets and the raffle ticket funds were donated to YOOP!
🥫 We heard from the Produce Manager of Newberg FISH Food Pantry. Attendees donated non-perishables to the emergency food service program.

🤩As a new club, this area meeting was incredibly valuable to us. We networked. We mingled. We shared resources and success stories. We noted suggestions and ideas to share at our upcoming business meetings and with our committees. SI Salem Area is just getting started and we're excited to be a part of this community!
