Salem-Keizer NAACP 1166 Salem-Keizer, Oregon branch #1166 of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People We encourage everyone to join us in this endeavor.

The Salem-Keizer branch of the NAACP promotes equality and justice. We have monthly membership meetings, an annual Freedom Fund Banquet, and an annual African-American Youth Leadership Conference. You can find out more at our website.

Juneteenth reminds us of the strength, resilience, and determination of those who came before us and the responsibility we share to continue building a more just future.

May we honor the legacy of our ancestors not only through reflection, but through action — in our work, in our communities, at the polls and beyond.

This Juneteenth, we invite you to spend the day celebrating community.

Start your afternoon at the Salem-Keizer NAACP 1166 Juneteenth Celebration at Riverfront Park, honoring Black freedom, resilience, and excellence.

12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the beautiful Riverfront Park:

Enjoy live entertainment, local vendors, family activities, educational experiences, and opportunities to connect with neighbors from across our community.

Then, continue the evening at Sip & Stroll Salem, where hundreds of community members will gather downtown to support opportunities for people with disabilities while exploring local businesses and enjoying tastings from across the Willamette Valley.
