🤝 In partnership with Arizona Raptor Runs, this four-day experience welcomes veterans, service members, and their families for watersports, community, and adventure on the Colorado River!

Throwback Thursday to one incredible September. 🇺🇸🌊

In one month, Wake for Warriors showed up across the country - bringing veterans and their families together for connection, challenge, and community that carries far beyond the weekend.

September took us to:

📍 Crescent Bar, Washington
📍 Lake Martin, Alabama
📍 Lake George, New York

Different lakes.
Different states.
One mission.

Huge thank you to the leaders of the wakesurf industry for making room for adaptive athletes to compete on a stage like this. 🌊

Our Wake for Warriors team had a blast at the Nautique Masters Wakesurf Championships presented by GM Marine - and for these athletes, this was more than a competition.

👉🏻 It was part of the comeback story.

A chance to ride hard, compete with purpose, represent the mission, and experience something beyond anything they imagined when they first stepped on the boat.

Thank you to Nautique, GM Marine,Hyperlite , PCM, JL Audio, Roswell Marine, Boatmate Trailers, Suay, FUSE, WSIA, WWA, and Barrett Adaptive Surfboards for helping create opportunities like this for adaptive athletes.

This is what happens when the wake community keeps raising the bar. 💪🏻

This is healing beyond the wake.

On the 25th remembrance of September 11th, we pause to honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the men and women who answered the call in the years that followed.

For Wake for Warriors, this day is personal.

Within our family are many stories like Sarah’s — stories of courage, sacrifice, visible and invisible wounds, and the long road of healing that continues years after service.

That is why we remember by continuing the mission.

By standing with veterans who are still healing.

By offering community, challenge, support, and a place to keep going.

We honor their sacrifice not only with our words, but with our commitment.

We will never forget.

And we won’t stop.

It’s not just a memory.

It’s the moment an injured veteran remembers:

👉 "My story isn’t over."

Confidence on the water becomes momentum off the water.

And sometimes, one ride is all it takes to say: “I’m still in this.”

For Wake for Warriors, being part of this community means a lot.

It gives our adaptive wakesurf team a place to compete, connect, and show what comeback stories look like on the water.

Before the boats ever leave the dock…

before the photos, the high fives, and the wins…

there are good people already hard at work. 🇺🇸🌊

Our Lake Tapps season opener in the Pacific Northwest was no different.

Volunteers showed up early, stayed late, hauled gear, prepped meals, drove boats, coached riders, worked safety, served plates, cleaned up, and made sure every detail supported the mission.

Many of our volunteers are veterans themselves.

Many come from military families.

Many are grateful civilians who believe injured veterans deserve more than a “thank you.”

They deserve people who show up and mean it.

That is what Wake for Warriors is built on.

And this is what healing looks like.

To our volunteers across the U.S. — thank you for creating the environment where healing happens.
