This is what the power of community can do. 🤝

When you give to and support organizations like the Salem Police Foundation, you’re doing more than making a donation. You’re helping move the needle right here in your own community.

Through the generosity and support of our community, the Salem Police Foundation was able to contribute nearly $80,000 toward the chassis for Salem Police Department’s replacement Bomb Squad vehicle.

Resources like this help provide our officers and specialized teams with the equipment and technology they need to serve Salem safely and effectively.

Our board recently had the opportunity to tour the Bomb Squad vehicle and see firsthand what community support can help make possible.

When our community comes together, the impact stays local. 💙

Thank you to everyone who continues to support the Salem Police Foundation and our mission.

Today we pause to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The officers and service members who gave everything so that others could live in peace. Their courage lives on in the communities they protected, the families they loved, and the officers who carry their memory forward every day. We are grateful. We remember. 🇺🇸

National Police Week:Honoring Those Who Gave Everything
Mayor Julie Hoy has officially proclaimed this Police Week in the City of Salem, recognizing the Salem Police Department’s nearly 170 years of service and calling on all Salemites to honor the men and women who protect our community every day. May 15 is designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day, a time to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Your donation helps the Salem Police Foundation continue supporting the officers and families who carry that weight.

A warm Salem welcome to a new community partner! We were honored to join Wealth Hospitality as they celebrated the groundbreaking of their newest project in Salem.

As a new member of our community, Wealth Hospitality is already demonstrating its commitment to giving back. During the event, they generously presented a $2,500 donation to the Salem Police Foundation and a $2,500 donation to the Salem Fire Foundation, supporting the vital work of our local first responders.

This exciting new hotel, located off Hawthorne Avenue, is being built by Baldwin Construction. We were also pleased to celebrate alongside Salem’s community leaders, including the Mayor and the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.

Thank you, Wealth Hospitality, for investing in Salem and in the safety and well-being of our community. We look forward to seeing your project come to life!
