With a camera. By experiencing new areas and meeting new Salemites, we can see more clearly the hope and promise of our own neighborhoods and our own neighbors.

HOW IT WILL WORK
Step 1: Attend the first event where you’ll throw a dart at a large map of Salem projected onto the wall at Archive's basement speakeasy. Based on where your dart lands, you’ll be assigned a one-block radius where y

ou should take your photo. It costs $5 for one dart throw. Step 2: You will have one month to explore your assigned area and take a photograph. There are no guidelines on style, method, subject, or equipment. The photographs are meant to offer a window into what you find interesting and beautiful within our city. Step 3: Each participant may only submit one photograph. Photographs are due one month after the event.

A slideshow viewing happy hour will be thrown shortly after the due date. Details for this event will be shared at the DART event. This will be yet another chance for you to gather with your fellow Salem creatives, share your photo-taking experience, and give lots of high fives.
