“But I’m not much of a hunter or fisher…”

We hear this a lot — and we want you to know the St. Stephen Sportsmen’s Club is about so much more than hunting and fishing!

Our members share one big passion: protecting and enjoying the outdoors.
Whether it’s:
🌳 Advocating for conservation and responsible land use
🐦 Supporting youth safety and education programs
🚶‍♂️ Hosting community events that connect people with nature
🌅 Or simply appreciating the beauty of Minnesota’s environment

…the club is a place for anyone who loves the outdoors.

You don’t need to be an expert angler or avid hunter to belong here — you just need to care about preserving and enjoying the natural spaces that make our community special.

Thank you to our members who volunteer their time to serve as Minnesota Department of Natural Resources certified safety instructors. Your dedication helps teach responsible firearm handling, outdoor ethics, and safe practices to the next generation. We appreciate the time, knowledge, and commitment you give to keeping our communities safe while passing on the traditions of the outdoors.

In honor of National Volunteer Week, we give heartfelt thanks to the Enforcement Division’s volunteer instructors across Minnesota who give so much of themselves to ensure others have the knowledge and skills they need to recreate safely outdoors.

The 6,000 people who volunteer across our ATV, fi****ms, and snowmobile safety programs are truly the backbone of safety education in Minnesota, and we couldn’t do it without them.

There’s no doubt their commitment and dedication have made our state a safer place.

🇺🇸 The St. Stephen Sportsmen’s Club was honored to once again sponsor the Disabled Veterans Turkey Hunt at Camp Ripley this year.

A special thank you to Club President Frank Vouk for representing the club in person and continuing our support on the ground. Frank had the opportunity to team up with disabled veteran—and fellow club member—Chuck Ruhoff for the hunt. Congratulations Chuck!

We also received this message from one of the veterans who attended:

“Hello, I am a disabled veteran who attended the Camp Ripley Turkey Hunt this week. I just want to say my sincere appreciation & thanks for the ammo can I received from you with the SOG knife & handwarmers!!! Thanks for supporting both our veterans & the event!!!”

We’re incredibly proud to support events like this that give our veterans the chance to enjoy the outdoors, reconnect with nature, and share in the camaraderie that comes with time spent in the field. These hunts are about more than just the pursuit—they’re about healing, laughter, storytelling, and honoring the bond that unites those who’ve served.

To the brave men and women who have worn the uniform—thank you, today and always, for your service and sacrifice for the United States of America.

We salute you. 🇺🇸

Just a quick reminder—

The St. Stephen Sportsmen’s Club will be doing our annual roadside ditch clean-up on April 22. We’ll get started at 5:30 PM, so bring some gloves and come ready to help out. It’s a good way to support the community we all care about.

After that, we’ll hold our regular monthly meeting at 6:30 PM.

Appreciate anyone who can make it.
