The Truth Behind The V**e Workshop Event was a huge success!
The event, sponsored by Moffitt Cancer Center, was held on Saturday, July 18, at the Childs Park Recreation Center- St. Petersburg, and hosted by Front Porch Community Development Association in collaboration with Childs Park Neighborhood Association, Inc. and All The Worlds Kids, Inc.
43 youth, ages 10 to 18 attended the workshop where they each received a $15 cash training stipend, one free 1-hour art design session from All The Worlds Kids, Inc., and a backpack filed with anti-va**ng information along with additional goodies and keepsakes.
The workshop provided information on the harmful effects of va**ng and to***co use as well as the impact that usage has on family and friends.
Additionally, the the workshop attendees received an invitation to participate in the Art in the Park canvas art creation session which was held simultaneously during the workshop.
The event was so well attended that Front Porch intends on having another workshop in the near future.
