Yesterday, May 7, 2026, Front Porch Community Development Association recognized and celebrated youth participants of the Youth Ambassadors Reaching Out (YARO) Training Program and the Youth Health Awareness Program (YHAP), a collaborative partnership between Moffitt Cancer Center and the Front Porch organization.

Youth participants, ages 10 to 12 years old, received a Certificate of Attendance or Completion, a Front Porch logo hooded sweatshirt, a Front Porch logo laptop tote, a cash stipend, and additional donated giveaway items.

Participants and their parents were also celebrated with a free in-house full course meal, to include dessert, at Longhorn Steakhouse-Tyrone Mall, St. Petersburg.

Youth participants were encouraged to utilize the training and information they received from the program as tools to assist in making their families, as well as their communities, healthier to live.

Thank you to all of our youth participants and parents, for believing in and supporting the YARO and YHA Program.

I proudly introduce to you-Maliq Muhammad, one of our youth participants of the Moffitt Cancer Center Youth Ambassadors Reaching Out (YARO) Program in collaboration with Front Porch Community Development Association Youth Health Awareness Program (YHAP).

Maliq, who is 11 years old, is also an entrepreneur and the founder and owner of Maliq's Lemonade Stand, which Maliq started with the assistance of his little sister, in his front yard.

Maliq's homemade lemonade is all natural, and comes in 3 flavors-regular, strawberry, and ginger, and it taste delicious 😋

Maliq's days and hours of operation are listed in the attached flyer.

Moffitt's Youth Ambassadors Reaching Out (YARO) Day #2 Training Workshop held today at the Sanderlin Neighborhood Family Center in St. Petersburg.

Today, community youth, 11-14 years old, participated in discussions on the Cancer prevention and the various causes of Cancer.

Training was presented and faciliated by trained-experienced Moffitt staff and researchers.

Moffitt's 3-day YARO training is in partnership with Front Porch Community Development Association's Youth Health Awareness Program. (YHAP).

Today was an extraordinary day!

Tomorrow is the final day of the 3-day in-person sessions and we can't wait to see what tomorrow's training bring.

Saturday, April 11 is the first of three- Saturday virtual training sessions where youth participants will be discussing mental health, substance abuse, and peer pressure. The 3-virtual training sessions will be facilitated by Adjunct Professor and Certified Addiction Professional-Carolyn A. King.

A genuine Thank You shoutout to 4Imprints for awarding Front Porch Community Development Association a One by One $500 merchandise grant in support of the collaborative program of Front Porch Community Development Association YHAP (Youth Health Awareness Program) and Moffitt Cancer Center YARO (Youth Ambassadors Reaching Out) Program.
