The Humane Education Connection’s “Canines Helping Kids in Crisis” program uses fun, interactive educational activities and curriculum for children, that builds character, promotes the humane treatment of animals and helps to create a safer, more compassionate community for its human and non- human inhabitants. e home are more likely to repeat the abuse as adults; creating a cycle of abuse. With the assistance of rescued dogs, that have earned their K-9 good citizen certification, we teach compassion, kindness and character education to break the repeated cycles of abuse and replace it with a POSITIVE attitude, renewed self-esteem, confidence, a sense of responsibility and respect for all life.
