The story of Tampa’s peaceful February 1960 Woolworth sit-ins cannot be shared far enough. That’s when courageous Black high school students (including figures like former state Sen. Arthenia Joyner and NAACP Youth Council leader Clarence Fort) organized peaceful sit-ins at a downtown F.W. Woolworth lunch counter on Franklin Street.

She’s being the change she wanted to see!

North Carolina teen Alyssa Rambert created an online series to help fill the gaps she saw in traditional Black history curriculum.

After realizing her classes were not telling the full story, the high school senior set out to create something that celebrates the full spectrum of Blackness.

Royal Diaspora Coffee Company is Freedom Fuel. They’re a Black, family-owned coffee roaster, specializing in organic coffees from Brazil. Working directly with small, primarily woman-owned farms, RDC brings fresh beans to the United States to be roasted in small batches to sell directly to consumers.
