Austin helps organizations figure out how to actually use AI — not just talk about it.
With 10 years in growth, five years in AI, and plenty of experience seeing where AI rollouts can go sideways, he knows what works, what doesn’t, and how organizations can move forward without creating a mess along the way.

Welcome to the LSPAA Coffee Talk Podcast. I'm your host, Ron Platt, Co-Founder for the National Association for Single and Divorced Families (NASDF). Today, along with our sponsor, Pyper, Inc., we have the pleasure of meeting Jonathan Caudill, who is the Administrative Service Manager for the city of St. Petersburg Housing and Community Development Department. In this capacity, he leads the coordination of administrative functions, fiscal activities, and social programs that support the city's mission to provide affordable, livable housing and foster community development.

This role allows him to contribute to impactful initiatives that enhance housing opportunities and community services in St. Petersburg.

He is also the co-owner of MachTen Aviation and Consuling, where he analyzes aviation industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory developments to optimize client operations and provide strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and align with industry best practices.

Show the next generation why you love what you do. 💡

LSPAA is joining the Great American Teach-In at St. Petersburg Collegiate High School, and we’re looking for alumni willing to spend 45 minutes sharing their career, their path, and a little of what they’ve learned along the way.

You don’t need a formal presentation. Tell your story. Bring something from your work. Answer questions. Talk about the parts of your job that still get you excited.
For students who are just starting to figure out what comes next, hearing from someone who actually loves what they do can make a real impact.

AI is everywhere right now, but how do we actually use it well?

At our next Friday Forum, we’re talking about what AI is really good at, where it can save time and make our work better, and just as importantly, where we need to slow down and use some judgment.

We’ll also get into the big stuff — privacy, bias, transparency, and when human decision-making still needs to stay human.

AI isn’t going anywhere, so let’s learn how to use it smarter.
