Permit me to introduce Paisley, a rescue from Saint Pete, Fl., undergoing training in Basic Obedience and modification, who spends her days at the welding shop and engaging in play with her toys. First day and already mastering the climb command!

We are excited to announce that Bella and Kobi will be having a litter of puppies very soon. Bella is a Pure Bred AKC Labrador (American) and Kobi is a Pure Bred Labrador (English). In short, Bella, high energy athletic working dog. Kobi, calm cool and mellow. Together the puppies will be a great working dog combo. Both have multiple awards and lots of energy and great working noses. Some will start the journey to becoming Service Dogs and some excellent pet dogs. 1 month later, oh how much you have grown!
Thor got to spend 5 days of puppy Imprinting and introduction to basic obediance. We enjoyed long walks and exploring the new world around him. Good luck buddy and continue the great work!

Dennis Morida is a retired Army Veteran with tours in Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq. He is also retired from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.

After he was medically retired from the Army after serving twenty three and a half years. At forty years old his life mission shifted from combat missions to helping his fellow veterans when they return to civilian life.

After spending time with his fellow Army brother, Scott, Dennis figured out what he could do with his unplanned early retirement. Dogs. Based on Scott's advice Dennis enrolled in the Tom Rose Professional Dog Training School in High Ridge, Missouri.

In January 2017 he loaded up his truck and drove from St. Petersburg, Florida to St. Louis, Missouri. He spent the next six months immersed in every aspect of learning dog training, care, health, and wellness. While at school he adopted two dogs; a black Labrador named Bella and a black Labrador mix named Roxy.

With no intention of keeping Roxy for himself Dennis trained Roxy for Dogs That Help, a Missouri based nonprofit which donates service dogs to veterans. Roxy passed the tests with flying colors and Dennis was given the opportunity to keep her as his own Service Dog. Therefore Dennis had fulfilled his first goal in going to Dog Training School. He had successfully trained his own Service Dog.

Service Dogs, on average, cost in the range of $12,000-$40,000 and the average wait for a Veteran in need is over two years. Dennis' vision is helping to fill the void for Veterans needing a Service Dog especially those with little or no personal or familial network as su***de rates are higher amongst this demographic.

After all. I know what Roxy and Bella have done for me. I've been alone and had no motivation and those dogs helped me through those lonely times."

In April 2018 Dennis set up Always A Warrior Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with a mission to train and donate Service Dogs to Disabled Combat Veterans and First Responders.

As of November 2018 Dennis, with the help of a few volunteers, is training three eleven month old Aussiedors (half Lab/half Australian Shepherd). Due to Dennis' high attention to detail and personal conviction to train high quality Service Dogs each dog will be in training eighteen to twenty four months.
