Hello All,

We are proud to announce that Bridge of Hope Kitchen has a newly revamped online presence!

The website now best reflects that we provide free, hot, nutritious meals, tutoring and academic support, and hope to children and families in our community, facing homelessness and food insecurity. The Bridge of Hope Kitchen is a 1,500-square-foot commercial kitchen and community resource center serves homeless and food-insecure children and their families throughout Pinellas County. You are invited to browse the updated site and share this announcement widely.

We also want to give a special thanks to AllFantastic.com, who did the entire website and provided us with some great insight. If you need a site and/or any online services (new sites, redesigns, apps, marketing, social media, SEO, consulting, etc.) we definitely recommend getting in touch with them and owner Jon Toorock ([email protected]) can help you out!

🎒📚 A Successful Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway! ✏️ ✂️

What a wonderful day of community, care, and giving back!

July 25th, 2026: Bridge of Hope Kitchen recently hosted our Community Back-to-School Bash & Wellness Giveaway, serving 230 children and helping them begin the new school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Children received backpacks filled with school supplies, including notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, and other classroom essentials. Families also had access to free school physicals and health screenings, haircuts, dental hygiene supplies, lunch and refreshments, and community resources, all in one place.

A special thank you to Bobbie Wilson, APRN, FNP-C, of Peaks of Health Metabolic Medical Center for providing school physicals and health screenings, and Damarco Witchard of Upper Echelon Barber Shop for providing free haircuts to our students.

We also thank Russia Collins and the University of South Florida Family Study Center / Infant-Family Mental Health Center for joining us and connecting families with additional resources and support.

This event was about more than backpacks and school supplies. It was about a community coming together to make sure children have the tools, care, confidence, and support they need to start the school year strong.

A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, donors, teachers, community partners, Bridge of Hope Kitchen team members and cooking staff, and everyone who gave their time, talents, and resources to make this event possible. And most importantly, thank you to the children. You are the reason we do what we do and why we continue building hope in our community. ❤️

🎒 Preparing Our Students for Success & A Special Thank You!

July 24th, 2026: In preparation for our Back-to-School Bash, Backpack Giveaway & Wellness Event, Bridge of Hope Kitchen welcomed volunteers from across the community to help prepare backpacks filled with much-needed school supplies for local students.

We were grateful to have the support of Jabil, Velocity Electronics, and members of our community, who donated supplies and volunteered their time to pack, organize, and prepare more than 220 backpacks for elementary, middle, and high school students.

Every backpack represented more than school supplies. It was one more student who could walk into the classroom prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

A special thank you to everyone who donated supplies, packed backpacks, helped organize, or contributed in any way. Your generosity and willingness to serve helped make this effort possible and made a meaningful difference for the children and families we serve.

To The Volunteers who Helped Pack Book bags: On behalf of everyone at Bridge of Hope Kitchen, thank you for giving your time and serving with such generosity as we prepared back-to-school backpacks for homeless and food-insecure children.Because of your compassion and willingness to help, children in our community will begin the school year with the supplies they need and the confidence that someone cares about their future. Your kindness is making a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing difficult circumstances.

It truly takes a community, and we are grateful to have ours standing with Bridge of Hope Kitchen. ❤️🎒

Thank you so much and Tampa Bay 28 -WFTS for the wonderful coverage of the Bridge of Hope Kitchen. We really appreciate your personal support and helping us To share our mission and reach more families in need throughout the Tampa Bay community. ❤️❤️❤️

Pastor Deborah Hill was awarded a $50,000 Community Hero Grant which helped her reach more children in need.
