What Is the “Yet” Keeping You From Rejoicing?

📖 Habakkuk 3:18 (KJV)
“Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”

Habakkuk understood that rejoicing isn't dependent on perfect circumstances. He chose to rejoice because of his salvation and his relationship with God.

What is the “yet” in your life? What is the thing you haven't been able to give to God that keeps you from experiencing that inner joy and happiness?

Sometimes we can't change what we're walking through. But we can choose how we walk through it.

👉 What is the “yet” in your life that you need to give to God?

Nobody else can choose your response for you. You can choose to focus on the light instead of the darkness, and when you choose to rejoice, that joy can overflow into the lives of those around you.

Habakkuk found a reason to rejoice in God. You can find that same reason in your salvation.

Find your “yet.” Give it to God. And choose to rejoice.

Can You Rejoice Even When Life Isn't Going Your Way?

📖 Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
“Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.”

Paul wrote these words while he was in prison. His circumstances were far from perfect, yet he was telling others to rejoice in the Lord.

Rejoicing doesn't mean everything around us is going well. It comes from within—from knowing Christ, having the assurance of our salvation, and knowing where our hope is found.

Our time is one of the most valuable gifts we have. We get to choose how we use it and how we respond to the circumstances around us.

👉 How are you choosing to use your time when life isn't perfect?

Instead of seeing difficult circumstances only as obstacles, look at them as opportunities to learn, grow, and change the way you see the future.

Rejoice in the Lord today. Choose joy when you can. Sometimes changing your perspective can change the way you experience the moment.

Where Do You Find Joy That No One Can Take Away?

📖 1 John 1:4 (KJV)
“And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.”

John wanted us to understand the joy that comes from knowing Christ. Regardless of our circumstances, there is a special joy found in having a personal relationship with God and the assurance of who we are in Christ.

That joy doesn't depend on what is happening around us. It is a biblical joy that comes from knowing God, knowing that He loves us, and knowing that our salvation is secure.

We can build that relationship through reading God's Word, prayer, praise, and those quiet moments when we simply talk to God.

👉 Are you carrying the joy and assurance of knowing that God loves you?

God made each one of us special and in His image. When life becomes difficult, we can draw from the joy we have in Him to carry us through.

Find your joy in Christ. Hold onto that joy. And remember that no matter what happens, God's love is always there.

Who Can You Give Your Joy To Today?

📖 Job 29:13 (KJV)
“The blessing of him that was ready to perish came upon me: and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.”

Job reminds us that joy can come from helping someone else. Sometimes that means giving financially, but it can also mean listening, offering encouragement, or simply being there for someone who is going through a difficult time.

Think about the joy you feel when you give something to someone who needs it. You aren't just giving something away—you are passing joy from your heart into someone else's.

Every day, we see people smiling while quietly carrying pain that we may know nothing about.

👉 Who in your life needs someone to listen, care, or simply be there for them?

Sometimes the joy you're holding in your hands is the very joy that needs to be passed into someone else's heart.

Give joy. Share joy. And let God use you to bring joy to someone today.

Are You Giving Your Joy Away Because of Your Expectations?

📖 Isaiah 35:10 (KJV)
“And the ransom of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”

Isaiah spoke to people who had experienced suffering, loss, fear, and uncertainty. But he reminded them that their sorrow would not last forever. God promised joy.

We all walk our own journey. The pain and trials we experience can teach us discernment, maturity, and spiritual growth.

Sometimes we become disappointed because our expectations don't match what happens. But our expectations are ours—not necessarily someone else's.

👉 Are your expectations causing you to give your joy away instead of receiving the joy God has for you?

Even when you have been crying so hard that you can barely catch your breath, remember that God is right there with you.

He wants you to wake up from the tears and discover joy again.

Keep walking your path. Keep growing. And don't give away the joy God has given you.

Can You Find Joy After The Pain?

📖 Hebrews 12:2 (KJV)
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Jesus knew He would endure pain, betrayal, and the cross. But He looked beyond the suffering to the joy that was set before Him.

We all go through things that can be painful and sometimes traumatic. But when we focus on God, the lessons, and the light that can come after the struggle, we can find strength to keep moving forward.

👉 What are you setting down before God today?

When I think about what Jesus endured on the cross, it reminds me that His love is greater than anything we can face on this earth.

That love brings me joy in the morning. And no matter what happens, no one can take that joy away from me.

I hope you find the strength to keep your joy. Don't let anyone take it from you.

Keep your joy. Keep your faith. And keep looking toward the joy God has set before you.

Are Your Words Bringing Joy or Pain?

📖 Proverbs 15:23 (KJV)
“A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!”

Solomon reminds us that our words have power. Have you ever said something in the heat of the moment and immediately wished you could take it back?

As we grow and mature in the Lord, we learn that what we say, how we say it, and when we say it matters.

Sometimes we need to speak truth based on God's Word, even when it is difficult to hear. But we are also called to encourage, appreciate, and show gratitude.

Someone who is grieving may need different words than someone who is celebrating. Someone who is hurting may need compassion instead of correction.

👉 When you speak today, are your words providing joy or pain?

Think about the words you choose and how you respond when others speak to you.

Joy can come through the words we speak. Choose your words wisely, speak with love, and let your words bring encouragement to someone today.

Where Do You Find Joy When You Have To Rebuild?

📖 Nehemiah 8:10 (KJV)
“...for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

The Israelites had to rebuild Jerusalem after experiencing tremendous loss. Sometimes life brings trials and tribulations that leave us wondering, “How am I going to get through the next day?”

Maybe you've lost a home, a car, or something you worked hard to build. Maybe you're simply facing a situation where you don't know what to do next.

But when we turn to God and ask Him for strength, He can give us the strength to rebuild. And when we make it to the other side, we can look back and see that God carried us through.

Even in the simplest challenges, we can experience the joy of the Lord when we choose to trust Him.

👉 How do you choose to find joy when things don't go your way?

You never know what will happen across your path, but every day you can choose joy.

Find your strength in God, and let the joy of the Lord carry you through.

When Was the Last Time God Turned Your Sorrow Into Joy?

📖 Esther 8:16 (KJV)
“The Jews had light, and gladness, and joy, and honour.”

The story of Esther reminds us that darkness can turn into light, sadness can turn into gladness, and crisis can turn into a reason for celebration.

God doesn't promise that we will never face challenges. Sometimes we walk through seasons of sorrow, tears, and growth before we reach a season of joy.

And when that joy finally comes, we shouldn't forget what God brought us through to get there.

👉 Can you remember a time when you couldn't even pick yourself up, and then suddenly something changed and you realized the storm was over?

That feeling of happiness and relief is something worth celebrating.

But more importantly, give God the glory for the joy.

Remember where you were, remember what God brought you through, and don't forget to thank Him when your darkness turns to light.

What Fear Would You Give Jesus to Calm Today?

📖 Luke 8:24 (KJV)
“And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.”

Jesus has the authority and power to bring calmness into even the greatest storm. But sometimes we allow fear to become louder than our faith.

When we pray, we should also examine our hearts, repent, and allow God's Word to guide us. When the storm comes, we can turn to Him instead of allowing fear to control us.

👉 If Jesus was in your boat of chaos today, what is the one fear you would give Him to calm?

When we become calm and still, we are better able to hear what God is saying. Our faith becomes the foundation for our rest, our peace, our stillness, and our calmness.

You don't have to hide your light or face the storm alone.

Give your fear to Jesus. Be still. Listen for His voice. And trust Him to bring calmness into your storm.
