Why do we keep introducing every couple? And, why do we cry with every story.
Because for so many women, this never happened. There was no engagement announcement in the hometown paper. No bridal shower with everyone they loved. No church bells. No aisle lined with family. No confetti.
For many, there wasn't even the freedom to invite the people who mattered most. Some were married quietly in a judge's chambers. Some crossed state lines just to say "I do." Some waited decades for the law to catch up with their love.
Their weddings were real.
Their marriages were real.
But too often, they were never fully celebrated.
So these stories... these introductions... are our humble offering.
A chance to hold these extraordinary couples up and say, Look at them.
Look at the lives they've built.
Look at the obstacles they've overcome.
Look at the joy they've created.
Look at the love that endured.
Every announcement is a little handful of confetti tossed into the air—sometimes years, even decades, after the wedding day.
Because love deserves witnesses.
And every couple deserves to be celebrated.
