On Saturday, May 16, Sleep in Heavenly Peace (https://shpbeds.org ) a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, will be hosting a Bed Build Clinic at Radiant Church in Jungle Prada. Their mission is simple but impactful, to provide beds for children in need accross the Tampa Bay Area.
During the event, volunteers will help build 20 beds that will go directly to children in the Tampa Bay area who currently do not have a bed of their own. Every child served receives a new bed frame, mattress, pillow, and bedding.

No tools or experience are needed. SHP leaders will be onsite to guide volunteers through the entire process, and all participants must register in advance to complete a waiver.

Approximately 20 additional volunteers are still needed for the build.
*Organizers are also looking for a few volunteers with trucks to help transport completed beds a short distance to a nearby storage unit on Tyrone Blvd.
A Bedding & Pillow Drive will also be taking place during the event. Donations of new twin “bed-in-a-bag” sets and new pillows are being collected to accompany the beds delivered to local children.
