The data is clear. When fathers are present, engaged, and healthy, communities change. When they’re absent, the void gets filled with exploitation, abuse, and broken cycles.

That’s why this June, is partnering with for 14 Days of Fatherhood - a campaign connecting two missions that were always meant to run together: building better fathers, and stopping the exploitation of the vulnerable.

A disturbing new report is shedding light on just how widespread AI-generated p*rnograhy has become among teenagers. -Thorn.org

➡️ 1 in 8 know someone who was targeted by deep fake explicit images.
➡️ 1 in 17 say they’ve been victims themselves.

New “nudify” apps make it extremely easy to pull a harmless photo from social media, or even a school yearbook, and manipulate it into an extremely realistic photo or video. And it’s not just online predators or criminal gangs committing these horrendous acts, it’s also kids doing it to each other!

What do we do about this? How do we protect ourselves and our kids? Parents, please don’t put your kids photos out everywhere on social media. Keep your accounts private. Have conversations about this in advance, so if it happens, you’ll have a plan in place.

What to do:
✅ Take a screenshot. Unfortunately, you’ll need to do this to preserve the evidence.
✅ Report it using the reporting mechanism on the online platform. They are required to remove it within 48 hours.
✅ Report it to the police. It’s a felony to create or possess explicit AI images of a minor.
✅ Another resource is takeitdown.ncmec.org
✅ Support your child. Their feelings of violation and humiliation are valid, even though it’s technically not a real photo. Look for signs of declining mental health.

Remember, even if your child didn’t generate the image, and simply received it, they are still liable and must delete the images immediately!

These new laws passed in 2025 - if enforced - are powerful in protecting victims. Several lawsuits are underway now, and we hope the perpetrators and the platforms are punished by the full extent of the law. Social media companies need to take protecting children seriously, so this is a fantastic start.

This past week, we visited the Hillsborough Juvenile Detention Center with Daughters Rise Up and spoke with 14 teen girls.

In our experience, these are some of the most vulnerable youth - often at extremely high risk for trafficking and exploitation. Many carried deep stories of trauma, abuse, neglect, and difficult life circumstances that have shaped the choices they’ve made.

We want people to understand: these are not “bad kids.” Many are simply acting out the pain of what has happened to them.

They deserve hope.
They deserve healing.
They deserve people who will see them, hear them, and love them regardless.

Our goal is to show them that there is a better path forward - that they are capable of making healthy choices, overcoming their circumstances, and changing the trajectory of their lives.

Every child’s story matters. And no story is beyond redemption.

We were honored to participate in the HOPE Mental Health Conference at the Counseling Center at St Pete First. We are thankful that they recognize the connection between youth Internet use and mental health.

May is Mental Health Awareness month. We always stress that if you, or anyone you know, is suffering because of abuse, shame , sextortion, bullying or addictions of any kind…there is no shame in reaching out for help!

Partnering with and supporting other community organizations we align with is so important to us! To kick off National Foster Care Month, we participated in the Foster Family Fun Day at the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.

These families are saving lives and making an impact every single day.

This month, we’ll begin an awareness campaign to educate you more about foster kids in our community, the sobering statistics and the families and organizations who are stepping in to support these vulnerable kids.

1 in 4 girls are sexually abused before the age of 18. -CDC

This is why prevention and early intervention matters.

At Stop the Movement, our presentations for youth and parents are designed to start conversations early - before harm happens. We teach:

➡️ body awareness and personal boundaries
➡️how to recognize an inappropriate request from an adult
➡️the difference between a good touch and a bad touch
➡️secrets vs surprises
➡️the importance of knowing who your trusted adults are

Because this isn’t just education - it’s protection. It’s giving children the language, confidence, and awareness to stay safe and speak up!
