An Important Update About Donations at Marcy’s Project
First, we want to say THANK YOU! Our community continues to amaze us with its generosity, and we are incredibly grateful for everyone who thinks of Marcy’s Project when donating items.
However, we are currently facing a challenge — we are running out of space!
As our programs continue to grow, so does the amount of clothing and other items coming through our doors. While we appreciate every donation, we are receiving a significant number of items that we simply cannot use for the families we serve.
Our volunteers are spending countless hours sorting, repacking, and preparing these items to be donated elsewhere. This takes valuable time away from organizing our Market, stocking our shelves, and serving families in St. Charles County.
What Does This Mean for Donations?
Due to our limited space, we are temporarily accepting ONLY the items listed in the attached graphic through January 1, 2027.
We kindly ask that you:
Review our current donation list before dropping off items.
Donate only items that are clean, in good condition, and ready for another family to enjoy.
Understand that our volunteers may need to politely decline items that are not on our current list.
Where Can You Donate Items We Aren't Currently Accepting?
We certainly don't want usable items to go to waste! There are other wonderful organizations in our community that may be able to put them to good use.
Stuffed Animals & Books:
Alleluia Baskets

Furniture:
The Sharing Shed

Baby Equipment:
Mary Queen of Angels

Other Items Not on Our Current List
The Salvation Army — satruck.org
St. Vincent de Paul — svdpstlouis.org
Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County — habitatstcharles.org
Please contact these organizations before dropping off donations to confirm what they are currently accepting.
Help Us Make Every Donation Count!
Our goal isn't simply to accept more donations — it's to accept the RIGHT donations so we can continue providing quality clothing, hygiene products, and essential household items to families who need them most.
By being more selective about what comes through our doors, we can make better use of our limited space, reduce the workload on our incredible volunteers, and spend more time doing what matters most — serving families with dignity.
We are not discouraging donations. We are simply asking for your help in making sure donations go where they can make the greatest impact.
Thank you for your understanding, your generosity, and your continued support of Marcy’s Project! Together, we can make sure every donation makes a difference.
