🚫Sorry, NO LEAGUE OF WOMENS VOTERS FORUM VIDEO. 😥😡

The personal attacks made by Mayor Adrian Petrila at the League of Women Voters forum were out of line and violated the spirit of the forum rules — so much so that the recording won’t be released, a first for the League.

Petrila’s claims about Scott Tate — including alleged bankruptcy and bizarre animal-related accusations — are untrue, as court records show no criminal conviction or animal cruelty case, and the foreclosure and bankruptcy claims don’t match the public record.

This race should be about real issues — infrastructure, hurricane recovery, planning and community character — not outlandish personal smears.

The irony is, Petrila's claims are what you could accuse Petrila of. With the exception of the bizarre animal claims. Petrila has a foreclosure. Petrila owes for a credit card. Petrila has developers as business partners and friends, as we've uncovered and have PROVEN.

But, residents deserve policy debate, transparency, and respect, not distractions and distortions. Let’s keep the focus where it belongs: on St. Pete Beach’s future.

But again, he's got some explaining to do. He's blaming Scott for exactly what he's doing!! The developers are directly behind Petrila, not Tate. Tate's supporters are part of the community (like us) that don't like Petrila, some of which happen to be previous commissioners and/or mayor who have every right to support and donate to a candidate. There's nothing to explain. Below, Petrila's friend says the quiet part out loud. QUESTION: Is it legal to have a yacht offered as an Air BNB in an RU-2 zone of St Pete Beach? Would a candidate, like Al Causey be a good commissioner? Already showing "Rules for Thee, Not for Me?"
