Meet Mohamed Ahmed Abdula, who before moving to the United States, spent 12 years wrongly imprisoned in his home country. Mohamed enrolled in Minneapolis Adult Education to learn English, became a Custodian Supervisor at Minneapolis Public Schools and is now in the process to earn his GED diploma.

Happy Adult Education & Family Literacy Week!

It is never too late to learn! During Adult Education & Family Literacy Week, we celebrate the power of knowledge to transform lives, strengthen families, and build brighter futures.

We offer a variety of classes and career pathways at the Institute for refugee and immigrant adult learners in Minnesota.

We are incredibly proud of all our adult learners. Every milestone and every graduation means so much to us. We know our students have worked hard, made many sacrifices, and will go on to accomplish bigger and better things!
