We’re bringing back the town favorite for this one! DJ MICKEY BREEZE is joining us on the 1s and 2s for Movement Music on May 15 at Icehouse! The night features Breeze doing what he does best, Brandyn Lee Tulloch, Righteous Emcee, and I Self Devine! Hosted by Tish Jones, doors open at 7:00p, show starts at 8:00p. Tickets are $10 RIGHT NOW so be sure to cop those! Link in bio!

Mickey Breeze is one of the Twin Cities’ most creative and skilled DJ’s and Beatmakers in the scene. Teacher, Producer, Artist, and a Professional DJ for the Minnesota Twins and Timberwolves, Mickey Breeze is a musical powerhouse with over 15 years of experience. He has comprised an impressive list of accomplishments including DJing at both local and national events such as SXSW, Soundset Music Festival, Twin Cities Pride, the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, and Paisley Park’s “Crown Our Prince” Mural Reveal and Block Party. He also performs and teaches as a resident DJ/teacher for the Deeper Learning Conference Series, Slam Academy and Minneapolis Public Schools. Mickey’s incredible live show is interestingly different from his peers as he incorporates the use of a drum pad controller, to add percussion beats and transitions over the top of his unmatched turntablism, adding a unique experience for those in attendance.

Big s/o to our partners at Saint Paul Public Schools for having us out to serve as both a vendor and a presenter for the Equity Summit this past Saturday! If your staff is interested in professional Development and support around CRP, Arts Ed, or more, reach out! We’re at [email protected]

Douglas Kearney, who - within the last 14 days - was named as a Finalist for The Pulitzer Prize and a winner of the Minnesota Book Awards, at The Urgent Emergent Performance Art Series, Volume Five: The Poet’s Circle on April 19, 2026. What a gift!

Go read his award winning new collection, “I Imagine I Been Science Fiction Always,” and if you were there, know that you witnessed something incredible. But we all knew that in real time, right?

Please show our good brother Douglas some love in the comments! This level of recognition is no small feat.

When we talk about movement building, it’s really an entendre for a lot of us, Righteous Emcee is no different. Not only does his lyricism challenge you to consider forward motion, he’s been championing the Hip Hop movement in the Twin Cities through his creation of Gladiator School and his ability to create space for other artists to do their thing. But this time, it’s his time. Catch Righteous Emcee at Icehouse with on May 15 to get a glimpse of his power.

From style to presence, Righteous Emcee is Hip Hop! Hailing from the southside of Chicago, he absorbed everything around him like a sponge. He used those things as inspiration to fuel his love for music. He is like no other artist. He possesses a style that is unique but still familiar to core Hip Hop fans. His hard hitting flow and lyrical prowess over dope instrumentation is truly a recipe for greatness!
