⚡ Another step forward for Minnesota's energy future.

Yesterday, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission approved a virtual power plant pilot, helping pave the way for customer-owned energy resources, like solar and battery storage, to work together to support the electric grid.

Virtual power plants have the potential to improve grid reliability while giving customers new ways to participate in Minnesota's clean energy future.

The Joint Solar Parties (MnSEIA, Solar Energy Industries Association, and Coalition for Community Solar Access) appreciate the Commission's leadership in advancing innovative energy solutions. As this pilot moves forward, we'll continue working with regulators, utilities, and industry partners while keeping our members informed about what it means for Minnesota's solar and storage industry.

Volunteers will pull weeds, rake, and clear debris from rain gardens in North Minneapolis. We're looking to help Metro Blooms maintain a rain garden they use....
